Today is a day to celebrate our history and our foundation as guided by the charism of St Mary MacKillop, the Josephite Sisters and Fr Patrick Carr. It is also a day to celebrate the 1000's of families, who over the decades have added to the richness of our community. Today we also look forward to the many ways we are growing in our faith, g...rowing in our love of learning and growing in our understanding of each other. In a highly promoted move Australians are being asked to remember this day within their families and within their homes in order to honour those who have sacrificed and served their country and those who continue to serve. Please find attached an offering from Sydney Catholic Schools that you may wish to view to assist you in marking Anzac Day within your family. Our school's core value is Peace. Peace in our hearts, our homes, our school, our na...tion and our world. The students were shown some native Australian animals as well as some animals from Sumatra and they learnt about how these animals adapt to survive in their different environments. Although we weren't able to attend the zoo in person it was a great opportunity for the children to be introduced to some real life animals in their habitat and ask the zoo keepers questions. #learningcontinues #stlukescpsrevesby

05.01.2022 Today we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Canonisation of St Mary MacKillop of the Cross. Do you remember the scenes at the Vatican and the cheers across Australia as Mary was announced as St Mary of the Cross MacKillop? Across Australia today, Catholics will be joined by many others who find in Mary MacKillop a model of a woman who served her God, her community, her faith and from the 1860s onwards, paved the way for what would be the future of Catholic Education in ou...r country. How blessed we are at St Luke's to share in the charism of St Mary MacKillop - we are indeed her people. #stmarymackillop #10years #stlukescpsrevesby
