25.01.2022 A huge welcome back to our music students for the start of term 2. Today is pupil-free with options for parents getting in touch with teachers generally to discuss progress from last term. In addition, students at the Hobart campus, check for your music class work in SeeSaw from tomorrow (Tuesday) and Austin’s Ferry campus students, be ready to check your work in SIMON from Wednesday. Zoom contact will be arranged with your teachers so check your emails from Wednesday for t...he link. We are all missing you and really keen to get started again.

22.01.2022 Zoom meeting schedules have been sent to all music students to assist with individual planning time. Meeting details can be added to your calendar as well. The music staff are very excited about catching up with you all at these meetings.

21.01.2022 A virtual and a to all of our music students, and students in general in trying to work through online learning this week. It has been a huge shift for you all, so be kind to yourself during this transition in your education. We miss seeing your smiling faces and hearing your skills in the music block every recess and lunch and we hope you are all doing okay. 13.01.2022 Our Junior School music classes are up and running. Learning the beautiful Japanese song ‘Sakura’ and practicing on their own hand make paper glockenspiels before getting onto the real deal! Great to have all our students back this week. We have missed them so much.

09.01.2022 The countdown is on! We are getting more and more excited about the return of our music students in just over a week. Remember if you have any questions about the class work that has been set for online learning, don’t hesitate to contact the music staff.

06.01.2022 The music staff are all so proud of how our students and families have tried to engage with their learning for the start of the term; in this difficult, unusual and disconcerting situation we are all in. The most important thing we want you all to remember is to look after your health - both mental and physical - and that we are only an email or Zoom catch-up away if you need us. We are feeling this as much as you, but we are also here to support you as much as possible. Things will get back on track at some stage, but we all need to take care in the meantime. We look forward to seeing your creativity being explored!

03.01.2022 Our first Prefect assembly in 4 months and first performance opportunity for our Stage Band performing entrance and exit music. We have new recruits this year and are keen to see their skills develop!

03.01.2022 We made it through our first week of term 2 online learning . Our Junior School students explored Mexican musical instruments and created their own Mexican guitar from things they had around the house. Let’s just say their creativity knew no limits . Our Senior School students delved into note reading challenges, exploring Film music and rhythmic dictation videos. Next learning cycle will have new music challenges and opportunities to explore more creativity.

01.01.2022 With all the construction happening at our Junior School campus, our Year 5 & Year 6 band are rehearsing on the top floor of the Cathesral Centre.
