22.01.2022 With the current COVID-19 restrictions continuing STAG is finding ways to connect with our members in new and different ways. We have decided to run a Mid-COVID nights Play readings via Zoom. We will be reading a play by Jean-Pierre Martinez titled Friday the 13th, John and Christine have invited two of their friends for dinner. Natalie arrived without her husband (Patrick) distraught, having just heard that the plane bringing him home has crashed at sea. And that is just... the beginning of this eventful evening, with twists, turns and revelations galore. We are inviting you to be a part of this play reading in the form of either a reader on the night or just somebody who would like to listen to the player being read. There is no limit to the number of people who can read this play as we will have multiple breakout rooms. 08.01.2022 Shepparton Theatre Arts Group will be running a short course on writing a monologue or short play in September 2020. The course will be delivered via Zoom, by long time STAG member and playwright, John Head. The program will include 2 workshops, where John will describe how he develops a story for theatre and offer experienced STAG mentors to assist with developing a short play or presenting a monologue.
