11.01.2022 In a 1929 newspaper article: "There are a great many cars and trucks at Amiens now, and the number will without doubt increase. The wheel tax collected every ye...ar upon those vehicles must represent a fairly large sum, and one would suppose that the time has now arrived when further requests should he made to have the road from Amiens to Stanthorpe gazetted under the Main Roads Board. In addition to Amiens residents the road serves the goldfield district, which also contribute their share of wheel tax to the Federal road authorities." If you wish to view my books at the Stanthorpe Museum here are their open hours: Wednesday - Friday 10 am - 4 pm Saturday 1 pm - 4 pm Sunday 9 am - 1 pm

11.01.2022 Happy New Year to all our members volunteers and visitors wishing you all the best and prosperous 2017 looking forward to your next visit Mervyn Lorene and committee members

11.01.2022 My second book and no! the back cover is not identical to my first book. Many family names can be found within the pages of both books. Whose wedding took plac...e in the Amiens Methodist church in 1934 with the church prettily decorated by the Girl Guides? My Mum was a Girl Guide; were any of your Mums? Or maybe they were associated with the CWA? See more
