10.01.2022 The Star Update With sadness unfortunately it’s our LAST NIGHT of cooking trade tonight, Rick and Ellen want to clean out our cold room, so please get your takeaway meals orders in by 7pm, unfortunately we will be shutting the kitchen after tonight. We have just had what looks to be our LAST DELIVERY OF GROG ARRIVE, stock is extremely hard to get atm, so limited quantities of the main sellers of Great Northern etc available, so please get in and stock up, as it looks l...ike our business won’t be open after next week at all. WE have LOADS of spirit, beer, cruisers, wine, 4lt Bundy Juice, Toilet paper, whole rumps and whole rib fillet to move on. Open longer today and tomorrow to accommodate your needs. 10-2pm 4-8pm Thank you so much for your support it means to world Rick, Kinta and Staff

07.01.2022 URGENT: The Star Hotel will be SHUT from 12noon TODAY. We may be able to operate for takeaway purchase/meals because we are also a bottle shop but it’s inside, so we need to talk to the powers above if we are able to do that. So please support us by getting your takeaways this morning.

06.01.2022 Sitting here reflecting on today and what it means going forward. The Star Hotel was first occupied by JJ Keneally back in 1890 and has had a swag of people run it over the years. Burnt down in 1961 and rebuilt to what is there as we know it. Never has it been shut down for an unknown period of time We are glad that the decision to shut down has been made and we really hope we can navigate this and come out the other side, but there is a bigger side to all this.... We could simply not bear the thought of one of our elderly people or anyone else catching this on our premises. With the amount of travellers that walk through it was only a matter of time. If the government didn’t call it we where. Never does anyone want to be the cause of some else’s loss and we think that is something everyone needs to think about in relation to this virus. We have a lot of elderly that come down for a press and safe guarding them at this time is absolutely paramount. We are going to use this time to plan, strategise, and be creative with what we can offer. Kids on push bike delivering meals, George in his Gator running a carton down to the Bronx( just gammin) we don’t know but are excited to see what this leads to for the Star Hotel!! We will keep you posted when we work out what we can and can’t do.... Stay tuned

01.01.2022 URGENT UPDATE from The Star Meals will ONLY be available UNTIL this Saturday Night at this stage. I doubt we can continue with meals next week. So if ur wanting a night off cooking here’s your chance for a bit.... It’s Chicken Parmy Night tonight Please support us as we are pretty confident we will have to SHUT our doors for good this coming week UNTIL all this passes, SO stock up on your grog THIS WEEKEND We apologise but times are very tough, this on the back of the drought hasn’t been great timing.
