25.01.2022 Thank you Katrina Voevodin and Marlie Jolanda for your presentations last night for the Mayor's Telstra Technology Awards held at Telstra's 5G Innnovation Centre in partnership with Study Gold Coast. You inspired the 2019 cohort of Young Entrepreneurs with your wisdom of how to create and market a remarkable brand and present and sell that idea succinctly and creatively to their audiences. Can't wait to see their pitches on Monday 21st October at Bond University.

20.01.2022 We had an incredible turnout to the first Startup Apprentice Express session at Mindvalley University this afternoon! As a group we talked about the problems and issues that affect our different cities, about creating humanity + businesses that have a positive impact on the world, looked at where ideas come from and how to tap into creativity and out of the box thinking to find new solutions or opportunities and finally we learnt how to deliver a succinct elevator pitch fo...r a business idea. Tomorrow we will be back for session 2 where the teens will be drawing on what they learnt today and pitching their own business ideas to the group - then the business building starts! Look forward to bringing you more updates on the Mindvalley Teenpreneurs after session 2!

A creative team effort by Katrina Voevodin and SUA Co-Founder Sam Winter = lots of creative fun in the room.

15.01.2022 It was another inspiring evening of Gold Coast teenpreneurs pitching their social impact solutions at the Mayor's Telstra Technology Awards earlier this week. Big congratulations to All Saints for their ARU concept and to all the students and teachers involved. This was our 5th year of supporting the Awards and the ideas and pitching just gets better and better and we couldn't be more inspired by this younger generation. Once again Study Gold Coast excelled in the delivery of the program. It's been an privilege to be a part of this program since inception and see it grow into what it has become.

14.01.2022 Last week we had a super fun evening running an Ideation Workshop with High School Students, Teachers and Parents in conjunction with Study Gold Coast and The Mayor's Telstra Technology Awards 2018. It was a fast moving workshop, with tonnes of fun and frivolity as we encouraged everyone to step outside their creative comfort zones. Our guest speakers were super popular sharing their own ideation stories; James from Gilmour Space Technologies, Marisol from PayNinja and Paul... from Anonyome Labs, Inc. Thank you to everyone who actively participated in our workshop and helped all of us have a really creative and fun evening. You can also check out this video of the Mayor's Telstra Technology Awards Presentation Night from 2017 for inspiration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk32-uzKjCc&feature=youtu.be Sam & Sharon

09.01.2022 Session 3 of Startup Apprentice Express was work, work, work as the teams continued to develop their business ideas. We were joined by some extra special guest mentors that spent time with each of the teams and shared their experience, knowledge and feedback in order to help the startup teams refine their business models, develop their messaging and prepare their pitches. A huge thank you to the amazing Ajit Nawalkha, Neeta Bhushan, Charly Jaffe andJason Goldberg for so gen...erously giving your time and expertise to help our teenpreneurs, and to the awesome Jeanene Tracy who stepped in to host a micro workshop for our Hustlers! We’re so excited for the teens to share their humanity plus businesses at the Shark Tank style pitch off in session 4!
09.01.2022 The Startup Apprentice Express Program at Mindvalley University wrapped up last week with a Shark Tank style pitch event in which the teens showcased their business ideas in front of a judging panel of experienced entrepreneurs. A big thanks to the all-star panel, Kristina Mänd-Lakhiani, Judy Julin, Vadim Fink, Renee Airya, Alessio Pierroni and Enya Demeyer for your great questions and excellent feedback to each of the teams. It was a tough choice to determine the overall wi...nner of the competition as every idea presented was well articulated, well researched, commercially viable and had the potential to make a positive impact on the world. After much deliberation, 2 winners were selected Homework Help and Money Matters. Check out the album to read more about each team and to check out their website. If you would like to provide mentoring or support to help these businesses continue beyond Mindvalley, contact [email protected] Congratulations to all of our teenpreneurs who stepped up to the challenge and produced some awesome results and thank you to the Mindvalley team for all your support!

05.01.2022 Session 2 of the Startup Apprentice Express Program at Mindvalley University was high energy and loads of fun! We started off the session with the teens sharing their business ideas with the group - with solutions for problems like financial literacy, global warming and waste management it was clear to see that yesterdays session had everyone thinking globally and humanity +. 17 awesome ideas were pitched and then the teens voted on their top 8 and formed teams around them.... We were then surprised with a visit from Vishen Lakhiani and a film crew who spent some time with us and interviewed a couple of the teams Over the remaining 2 sessions our 8 startup teams will research, create business models, validate with customers, create marketing campaigns, messaging, branding, logos and build websites that will be pitched to a panel of judges at the end of the final session. We’ll have more updates on how the businesses are progressing tomorrow!
