16.01.2022 Hello OOSH Families, Next Monday 18th of September, roadworks at the front of our centre are commencing that are planned to last three weeks. The Council is upgrading the pedestrian crossing at the front of our centre to be a narrower crossing on a raised platform. It should be a lot safer than the current crossing when it is finished. I have spoken with the project manager today, and he tells me that with the exception of some preliminary work during the day on Monday 18th, ...most work will be undertaken at night from 8:30pm until 5am the next morning. During the construction, the pedestrian crossing will be relocated closer to the roundabout at Bennett Rd & Endeavour Ave where there is an existing pedestrian refuge (a small gap in the middle island). Works are planned to make sure this temporary crossing is safer than just adding some paint. Without boring you with the whole construction sequence, I have been assured that at no time will our driveways be blocked or unavailable. All of the road work happens between our two driveways. The most interruption they foresee is that for a few days we may only be able to turn left into our entry driveway and left out of our exit driveway we will need to use the roundabouts during this time. Please exercise patience during this short time of inconvenience and be more mindful of the changes to traffic and pedestrian movements. Thanks, Andrew. See more

08.01.2022 Community Junction Inc. are a community organisation servicing the local area and have a heart to help the community. One of their programs is called Boys Shed and this group asked to help out, to support our OOSH Service. They had a group from Erskine Park High School come and wash both our 25-seater buses, with Mike and Lain leading 6 teenage boys in the work. These boys are referred to this program from the school, to help support them in their goals at school and life, and reach their potential.

07.01.2022 Hi OOSH Families, We're not sure when this change happened, but the dates for the last week of school, OOSH & Vac Care have changed a little. We have confirmed that this information is correct with all of our schools, except one that finishes a few weeks earlier. We're working on the vac care program and it will be available in the second half of November.

07.01.2022 We are celebrating Childrens Week ! Childrens Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. The 2018 theme is Childrens views and opinions are respected. They have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child and the right to be heard. ... Well be sharing how childrens views and opinions are respected here at St Clair OOSH ! For quite a while, the children brainstormed lots of ideas for the garden and the desire for a fairy garden was mentioned. A few weeks ago, these ideas were implemented and a fairy garden was created ! The garden is full of fairies, fairy houses and pretty paths which have formed a beautiful little village !

02.01.2022 Here at St Clair OOSH, we value the importance of children having the opportunity to be outside amongst nature ! Last month, one of our wonderful educators, Carolyn, and her very handy husband created a mud kitchen for us ! Children benefit from mud play in many ways, including: It enhances childrens fine motor skills... Its inclusive of all children and allows them to engage at their own developmental level It encourages creative thinking and allows children to freely create without the fear of making mistakes It inspires children to feel a connection to nature and develop an appreciation for the environment See more

01.01.2022 We have some civil work happening at the front of the centre today. Endeavour Energy and Penrith Council are making the first steps to installing two more street lights over the pedestrian crossing. That's great news for our OOSH families. They have yet to crack open our exit driveway, but the workers promise they'll be finished with it before After School Care today.

01.01.2022 Today we celebrated the first ever OOSH Educators Day with a team lunch followed by a party with the children. We are truly blessed to have such caring team of Educators and it’s evident from the beautiful heartfelt comments and personal messages from the children that they are very much appreciated.
