23.01.2022 We are blessed to live in such a wonderful community! Chloe and her team at Red Rooster Central Lakes very generously surprised out staff by donating lunch yesterday. It's no secret that our staff have worked tirelessly to transition to online learning and back again in a very short time frame. Chloe and her team felt that this was one way they could show their appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of our staff. ... We really are blessed to live in such a supportive community. So we ask that you all remember at this time, to support our local businesses. They need it now more than ever. And if you'd like to show Chloe and her team some love, visit the Red Rooster store at Central Lakes Shopping Centre, Caboolture or give them a like and great review on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Red-Rooster-131888237471875/

22.01.2022 As part of St Columban's commitment to reconciliation, we strive towards a more just, equitable nation by championing unity and mutual respect as we come together and connect with one another. Today we work together to further that national journey towards a fully reconciled country. We acknowledge that each of us is situated on Country that has been cared for by generations of Traditional Custodians. We extend our gratitude to all First Nations People who... ensure the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and we pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging whose sacred connection with this country is a gift to us all. To help you further your reconciliation journey visit https://www.reconciliation.org.au/national-reconciliation-/ #NRW2020 #InThisTogether2020

22.01.2022 Today is National Sorry Day, a day where we acknowledge and recognise the grief, injustice and the resilience of the Stolen Generations. On the 26th May 1997 the Bringing them home report was presented in Federal Parliament and brought to light the atrocities of various assimilation and protection policies that led to the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, community and cultures creating the Stolen Generations. In the spirit of reconciliation, St Columban's College reflects on this dark time in our Countrys history and consider the intergenerational trauma that may affect our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff, and community.

19.01.2022 Just a reminder to our community about the home game this weekend. As much as we would love our alumni and regular supporters to be attend our TAS sport this term, we are still governed by the social distancing measures to help keep our community safe. We ask that all players have only one spectator per student, and ask that all others supporters refrain from visiting. ... We are still actively promoting the ARRIVE. PLAY. LEAVE. motto and would appreciate everyone working towards this. We thank you for helping us keep our community safe.

15.01.2022 An enormous thank you to our Industry sponsor QANTAS for providing this amazing experience for aspiring pilot and recent Year 12 Graduate Marcus. Marcus spent the day gaining an insight into what it means to be a commercial pilot for QANTAS, he even checked out the new Dream Liner from the cockpit and experienced the new technology first hand. One of the many highlights was the opportunity to spend the day with QANTAS Academy Cadets. Marcus says Meeting the Cadets was an ex...perience in itself, as it was amazing to see other millennials so interested and invested in similar things to myself.
