22.01.2022 I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year. There are some exciting changes coming in 2020 for steelPHASE with new products and a change in location. And before the Facebook/Instagram rumour mill starts, there will be no changes/upgrades/replacements for our flagship product, the sP01 enhancer. We will still continue to manufacture this awesome piece of electronics.
22.01.2022 Hey all Just a short post to explain why I won’t be at the Australian Gold Prospectors Expo and why there may be a few delays in the future. So as some will know, I am moving from Vic to Qld. This means moving all my machinery. On Friday I was loading a metal lathe into a shipping container and it decided it wanted a last minute hug. Well let’s just say that didn’t end well. I lay trapped for around 1 1/2hrs with feed handle piercing my groin mm away from femoral artery. Was flown to the Alfred hospital but other than a large wound and crush injuries, I’m ok. Should be back working in a week or so (possibly longer according to doctors but I figure it’s only a flesh wound) albeit very slowly.

16.01.2022 NEWSLETTER Seeing as I’ve been forced to have a bit of a break I thought I’d write a newsletter and let you all know about some new products I’ll be releasing soon. Please note that the sP01 Enhancer will still be our flagship model and there will be no ‘upgrade’ anytime in the near future.... Let me start by firstly thanking everyone for their well wishes. I’m on the mend and should be back into full swing soon. The sP02 The first new product I am going to be releasing is the sP02. This model is designed purely for speakers. It has a higher output level than the sP01, a bypass switch and similar physical size and battery life to the sP01. Unlike the sP01, it does not have a mode or filter switch. It will retail for less than the sP01 and should be available around May. Prospecting for the Hearing Impaired and Profoundly Deaf Another product I have been working on is something I feel that has been missing for a long time. I started working on this almost 2 years ago after speaking to some friends who are hearing impaired. The unit is based on the sP01 enhancer but instead of producing a sound output, it produces an output that is translated into a wearable device. While I cant go into the fine details of the wearable unit, I have finally found a solution that works well and is robust. I am currently in talks with several manufacturers who appear to be keen to help develop that side of things leaving me to fine tune the electronics. Although there is still a little more development required, I’m excited about being able to introduce our great hobby to people that otherwise would never have the opportunity to go gold prospecting with a detector.
