11.01.2022 Crew from the m/v Hansa Freyburg have finally signed off in Brisbane. After working on board for over 16 months they have been finally told to sign off. However..., Kiribati has no Covid-19 cases and have closed their borders to anyone returning from overseas, so our friends here may have a long wait ahead of them. In the meantime they can do some sightseeing around Brisbane and catch up with some family members and friends living in Brisbane. See more

07.01.2022 Sr Mary Leahy RSJ, Chaplain of Stella Maris Sydney, visited seaman Reynaldo Coste yesterday at Prince of Wales hospital. She brought some treats, Sim card etc. He had a stroke and was evacuated to the hospital a few days ago. He is now in a quarantine facility room at the Meriton Suites.... Sr Mary's presence and kind words have lifted the spirit of Reynaldo. He is hopeful that he will be able to recuperate quickly and get back to work soon. Thank you, Sr Mary for your inspiring and calming presence in the hospital.
