21.01.2022 Wishing all the dads out there a Happy Father’s Day for Sunday. A special thank you for all the times they take you to the physio, help you with your stretches, tummy time and exercises... or help you to walk, ride a bike or get in the pool... and for the dads that cheer you on, crack a joke and help you get back up when you fall down.

08.01.2022 Hi Families! This directive was released Friday afternoon by the Chief Medical Officer to Allied Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (our governing body): Care must only be provided if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant change/deterioration in the patient functional independence necessitating escalation of care ie. avoiding a hospital admission or emergency department presentation. ... These directives are about protecting the public and protecting health workers. Practitioners must critically consider if the service is essential for the patient in the next 6 week period. This is about saving lives. We would LOVE to see you, but we MUST put safety first. Stay tuned. If you have an appointment with us face to face, we will contact you and have a chat about how we can support you during Stage 4 Restrictions. And if you need help - we are here. We got this, Melbournians...!

04.01.2022 As Melbourne enters Stage 3 restrictions, for a second time.... Stepping Forward Therapy Services is ready (just like this little one!). Our doors remain open, with increased safety and hygiene measures in place. As Physiotherapy is an ESSENTIAL HEALTH SERVICE, we continue to be available to assess, treat and support your child - whether it be in our clinic or via video consultation (Telehealth). Questions? Call 9899 4004 to make an appointment.

03.01.2022 Physio looks a bit different at the moment, kids! Don’t worry - under all the ‘dress-ups’ we’re really still the same! Your mums and dads might be a little worried about how you’ll adjust... so here’s some tips you can share with them to make things easier: - Talk. Talk about things that might be different, and things that will be the same for their next therapy session. Having a chance to ask questions and be listened to can really help. - Practise. If you have a mask at ho...me, you can do a practise run! Pretend to be the therapist for your teddies (or your parents) can be fun. - Prepare. If you’re still worried, ask your parent to call ahead, and we can discuss what we can do to help things go smoothly. And lastly, these little video’s might help! Stay safe, and see you soon!
