18.01.2022 Why is our Council consistently disregarding the City Plan requirements that the residents agreed upon in 2016? It is past time we had an answer from them on th...ese matters, a performance based planning scheme does not mean completely ignoring the very flexible rules. Today Community Alliance and its member group the Main Beach Association (MBA) are dismayed to see that the Council's Planning Committee have once again endorsed a completely inappropriate development application for Main Beach. MBA President Sue Donovan says: This new Main Beach building is at least 2.4 times the intensity or bulk considered acceptable under the City Plan. (for a 39 storey tower on a small 812 sq metre site.) This is a gross overdevelopment of the site.
