21.01.2022 Congratulations to Bishop Mark Edwards whose Liturgical Reception today saw him installed as the 6th Bishop of the Wagga Wagga Diocese. With COVID-19 attendance limitations, SFdS was represented by Mr Pat Handsaker. Jock Lander of yr 11 and Bella Fairman yr 9, joined the choir of Diocesan students via zoom. We look forward to welcoming Bishop Mark to the College as soon as possible.
20.01.2022 THANK YOU ATHLETE’S FOOT St Francis College enjoys a very healthy relationship with a number of local, regional, national businesses. One of these is The Athlete’s Foot who this week made a presentation of $500 to the College. This is the result of the Schools Reward Program, where $5.00 from every pair of shoes purchased is donated back to the school nominated. Thanks to the State Manager Mr Paul Sawaged as well as Mr James Alexander from the Griffith store, for visiting the College and making the presentation this week.

14.01.2022 TODAY’S COVID-19 UPDATE #2 Change to guidelines for boarding schools... After significant consultation with Catholic Schools NSW, it has been deemed that training and participating in organised sport off campus in Leeton for boarders is now allowed. We are grateful to the organisers of the local sports groups/clubs for having the established COVID-19 protocols in place.... Any boarding students participating in these training/games events will travel directly to and from the venue by College bus and engage in the practices already in place. To be clear, the restrictions on street leave and gyms will remain. Medical appointments are considered essential. This is great news for our boarding students and staff who have been exceptional in their cooperation, diligence, understanding and support. Thank you Seb Spina Principal

10.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Guidelines for boarding schools... This message is for the boarding school specifically, but I'm sending this to all students and parents, to ensure everyone has the same information.... Additional restrictions for all boarding school students and staff have been put into place by Catholic Schools NSW, who continue to work closely with NSW Health and other key government agencies in planning and managing school operations in line with the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) advice for reducing the potential risk of COVID-19 transmission in boarding schools. There is to be a restriction on non-essential engagement with the broader community and activity off campus. This includes street leave, sport, gym etc. Medical appointments are considered essential. Our boarding students and staff have been exceptional in their cooperation and diligence and I ask for their continued understanding and support. These new regulations will be the cause of great disappointment, especially after the recent easing of restrictions. As always, it is incumbent on the College to follow the guidelines as they emerge and change. Thank you Seb Spina Principal
