12.01.2022 ***CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ST HURMIZD VIRTUAL DEBATING TEAM ONCE AGAIN*** We have won all the debates so far!! 4 out 4! On Wednesday the students fought hard , the topic being 'That we should lower the voting age to 16.' we were the affirmative team.... Speakers; 1st Speaker: Beauta 2nd: Seraphina 3rd: Benjamin Silent: Angelina Counsellor: Eve Today's topic for that debate was 'that electronic devices (such as laptops, mobile phones and iPads) should be banned from primary school classrooms' We were the negative. This debate was close, but our composure, manner and strong arguments got us the win. Speakers Debate 4: Speakers; 1st Speaker: Beauta 2nd: Seraphina 3rd: Eve Silent: Angelina Counsellor: Benjamin Debates need a lot of preparation. What you see during the debate is only the final product, and a lot of time and effort has gone into producing just the right argument. The St Hurmizd Virtual debating team have worked so hard to achieve top position in their group. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication and passion. Now we look forward to the last debate of this round which will be early next term, fortunately we are assured a position in the quarter finals.
