06.01.2022 p r o p a g a t i o n Have you ever lost a plant because you loved it a little too much?! Guilty Sometimes a new plant can test the skills of even the greenest of thumbs - I'm looking at you watermelon peperomia ... But it's all part of the journey of learning the best ways to care for our leafy friends. So after a breakage mishap with two of my favourite plant members, it was the perfect time for a little water propagation experiment. - I placed the cuttings in lab flasks, because when you look good, you feel good ;) - Filled the vessels with filtered water and popped them in a sunny spot on the kitchen bench in bright/moderate indirect light. - Then stood back and watched them grow, replacing the water when needed and topping them up if the level got too low. - After a week, new roots began to grow, and around a month or so later and they're ready to pot into fresh soil.
