Jersey Mike's Subs was a big hit in the canteen last week and ...they had so much fun that they’re back to keep us well fed again. Come on down to Nerang Roosters Ru...gby League Club at Glennon Park for a great day out of Gridiron, good food & family fun. The Stingrays Juniors kickoff at 10:00am against the Brisbane Rhinos. Next up 12:30pm the Stingrays Women take on the Bayside Ravens. Rounding out the day at 3:00pm our Stingrays Men do battle with the Logan City Bears. #stingraypride

09.01.2022 YOUTH SIGN-ON DAY 2020 WE ARE BACK ON! Due to Covid restrictions, sign-on day is going to be a little bit different this year but we are going to do our best to run things as smoothly as possible. We’re just happy to be getting back on the field again, meeting old friends and making new ones. About sign-on day:-... When? SATURDAY 11 July 2020. 10am-2pm Where? Glennon Park At rugby league field #2. Enter Glennon Park via Leagues Club Drive, Nerang (just off Lawrence Drive) What you need to do:- You will be required to go to our website, www.gcstingrays.org.au And navigate to the sign-on page and download and print the YOUTH registration form from the link on that page. You will need a parent/guardian signature On the registration form and a copy of your proof of age. You will be required bring this filled out form with your registration fee payment $150 in full to the equipment shed at the field. You can pay cash or you can pay with your card (Yes, we have card payment facilities). We have done our best to reduce the fees to help you all in this difficult time, fees are listed on the registration form. Unfortunately we will not have any payment plans available this year. There are going to be some changes to how things operate at trainings and games this year due to the COVID SAFE PLAN that we have to enforce, but you can be confident that we will give you the best football experience that we can. The YOUTH division will be training at the same time as the Juniors and Colts. We’re looking forward to seeing you all at Sign on day, all newcomers are welcome. The Gold Coast Stingrays Gridiron Football Club's Annual General Meeting is schedu...led to be held at the Glennon Park, Leagues Club Drive, Nerang, on Saturday the 15th of February 2020 at 10:00am. All are welcome to attend. The meeting will be conducted as per the constitution of the Gold Coast Stingrays Gridiron Football Club Inc. All executive positions will be open and vacant for the election of the 2020 executive committee. All current and financial members of the club are eligible and invited to stand for a position and/or vote for a nominated candidate. Persons interested in taking on a role on the committee, are encouraged to please email your nomination 2 weeks prior to the meeting to [email protected] , nominations must be received no later than COB 31 January 2020. Nominations will be taken from the floor for positions that have no nominations via email. Thank you all for a great 2019 and we welcome all that 2020 has to bring. STINGRAY PRIDE !!!

04.01.2022 Youth 2020 Unfortunately due to some unforeseen logistical problems caused by COVID & COVID Field plans , we must delay the 2020 Youth Season to start Sunday O...ctober 18th @ Cougars , we have made this decision in the best interest of making this a fun and rewarding season for all involved. No games will be lost as there is no longer a bye on the 25th October Again we apologise for any inconvenience caused but feel this is in the best interest of Gridiron and the development process we are working with . All members are invited to attend. The meeting will be conducted as per the constitution of the Gold Coast Stingrays Gridiron Football Club Inc. All current and financial adult members of the club are eligible and invited to stand for a position and/or vote for a nominated candidate. Persons interested in taking on a role on the committee, are encouraged to please email your nomination 2 weeks prior to the meeting to [email protected] , nominations must be received no later than COB 15 January 2021. Nominations will only be taken from the floor for positions that have no nominations via email. Thank you all for a great 2020 and we welcome all that 2021 has to bring. STINGRAY PRIDE !!! ADDENDUM : In the interest of transparency and to assist those wishing to nominate or be nominated for a position on the management committee, the following has been added for your information. Extract from Constitution of the Gold Coast Stingrays Gridiron Football Club Inc. 18. Membership of management committee (1) The management committee of the association consists of a president, treasurer, and any other members the association members elect at a general meeting. (2) A member of the management committee, other than a secretary appointed by the management committee under rule 15(1)(b)(iii), must be a member of the association. (3) At each annual general meeting of the association, the members of the management committee must retire from office, but are eligible, on nomination, for re-election. (4) A member of the association may be appointed to a casual vacancy on the management committee under rule 21. 19. Electing the management committee (1) A member of the management committee may only be elected as follows- (a) any 2 members of the association may nominate another member (the candidate) to serve as a member of the management committee; (b) the nomination must be- (i) in writing; and (ii) signed by the candidate and the members who nominated him or her; and (iii) given to the secretary at least 14 days before the annual genera[ meeting at which the election is to be held; (c) each member of the association present and eligible to vote at the annual general meeting may vote for 1 candidate for each vacant position on the management committee; (d) if, at the start of the meeting, there are not enough candidates nominated, nominations may be taken from the floor of the meeting. (2) A person may be a candidate only if the person- (a) is an adult; and (b) is not ineligible to be elected as a member under section 61A of the Act.'
