19.01.2022 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY - YR 7 GRADUATION & 2021 SCHOOL CAPTAINS Today we had a special assembly to farewell the Year 7s, the Yr 2/3s read poems about each Graduate, our 2021 School Captains took part in a Handover Ceremony and the Choir performed two Christmas Carols. Such a special event.

17.01.2022 GINGERBREAD HOUSES HAVE ARRIVED We are pleased to advise that our P&F Fundraiser for Gingerbread House Kits have arrived and are ready to collect. They are available to pick up from the Learning Centre kitchen, where Narelle Richmond will be happy to assist this week between 8.30 and 8.50am and 3.10 and 3.30pm each day. Please contact our office to make alternative arrangements. The P&F thanks you for supporting our latest fundraiser and we hope to see lots of great creations and happy faces in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

School Card Holders and low income earner fee = $1194... 2021 Sibling fee discount 2 students enrolled = $3390 (approx 30% discount or $230 reduction from 2020) 3 students enrolled = $4400 (approx 30% discount or $230 reduction from 2020 for child 2 and approx 50% discount for child 3 or a $135 reduction from 2020) 4 or more students enrolled - free enrolment for 4th child or more Our 2020 Fees are $2145 for one student Don’t forget we are offering a straight Reception class next year with a small class size.

16.01.2022 Remembrance Day - Lest We Forget St James students in Yr 7 led our Remembrance Day Service at 11am. All students took part in prayers, laid poppies or wreaths made in class and took part in 1 minute of silence. In the afternoon the school captains laid a wreath at the Jamestown War Memorial. 16.01.2022 The Premier of South Australia has announced a 6-day statewide lockdown commencing midnight Wednesday 18 November 2020. For the next tw...o days 19 and 20 November all Catholic Schools will be closed except for care of the children of essential workers. These are school closure days and, as such, no online learning will be provided. A small number of staff will be at each school site to provide supervised care to any family who requires this essential service. Schools will remain closed in the week commencing 23 November except for the care of children of essential workers. 14.01.2022 The Sacrament of Confirmation was celebrated with 21 students tonight. It was a special event as they continue their faith journey. Congratulations to all of the candidates on becoming full members of the Catholic Church. Special thanks to Fr Brian Mathews for leading us in prayer and to the staff, parents and Godparents who prepared them.

13.01.2022 To mark Reconciliation Week in the R/1 class, they looked at the Acknowledgement of Country and read 'Why I love Australia' to get some inspiration for our art on leaves and feathers. This beautiful display is now a feature in their classroom.

13.01.2022 SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE: Friday 20 November SCHOOL TO REOPEN The Premier of South Australia has announced that the 6-day statewide lockdown will cease at midnight on Saturday 21 November. Schools will re-open on Monday 23 November. Students should return to school with all the materials and equipment they took home last week to commence online learning.

12.01.2022 Well that is Term 2 done and dusted. We had lots of fun things happening today, starting with a beautiful liturgy led by our Year 4/5 class. This was the first we have been able to have as a whole school this term. We hope everyone enjoys the extra time they get to spend with their children and that you all stay safe.

05.01.2022 All school buses will be running on Thursday 19th & Friday 20th November. These services are for students of children of essential workers and vulnerable children, and again, we encourage parents to keep their children at home if possible. Buses will run as per their regular timetable. Details regarding the running of buses on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th November will be shared later in the week.
