25.01.2022 (Isaiah 40:30-31) Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.... They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Let us pray: Lord, in your constant goodness watch over your family. May we who rely solely on your undeserved love for us always be defended by your power. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

23.01.2022 (Luke 1:46b-48) My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. Let us pray: Stir up your power and come, Lord. Support and help us, so that what is hindered by our sins may be hastened by your great mercy. For you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.... Amen. See more

22.01.2022 (2 Corinthians 4:6) For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. Let us pray: Lord God, heavenly Father, you glorified your Son from the heavens. Give us faith to perceive his glory and willingly follow him. Bring us, through his suffering and death, to the glory of the resurrection. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,... who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. See more

20.01.2022 (Matthew 25:31, NIV) When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. Let us pray: Lord God, heavenly Father, let your dear Son, Jesus Christ, come quickly and take to himself his bride, the church. Bring us, together with all the redeemed, into your glory. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

19.01.2022 (Romans 12:9, NIV) Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Let us pray: Lord God, your Son humbled himself in obedience to your will and gave up his life for us. Transform and renew us within. Help us not to be conformed to this world, but to dedicate ourselves to you, and do what pleases you. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

18.01.2022 (Matthew 18:20, NIV) Jesus said: "Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Let us pray: Lord, in your constant mercy cleanse and defend your church. Guide it forever by your goodness because it cannot remain safe without you. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

15.01.2022 Holy Communion Service - 10:00am, 4th Wednesday of the Month at Lowood (Tomorrow). All are welcome to our Wednesday Holy Communion Service, especially those in our Parish who are sick, frail or burdened by suffering (be it in body, mind, heart or soul). This short spoken service offers Holy Communion, Prayer, Anointing and Blessing in the pew. Saint James encourages us: "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:14, NIV, also Luke 4:40, Mark 6:13). Home Holy Communion remains available for those in hospital and the very frail or vulnerable who are unable to leave the home and join us for this service. If you require transport assistance to this service, please let Pastor one of the Lay Assistants know.

13.01.2022 (1 Thessalonians 5:8, NIV) Since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. Let us pray: O God, so rule and govern our hearts and minds by your Holy Spirit that, being mindful of the end of all things and the day of your just judgment, we may be stirred up to holiness of living, and dwell with you forever; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

12.01.2022 (Luke 2:4-7) So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.... Let us pray: Almighty God, you have given us your only Son to take our nature upon himself, and to be born of a pure virgin. As we have been born again and adopted as your children by grace, so renew us daily by your Holy Spirit. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

09.01.2022 (Joshua 24:2324, NIV) Now then, said Joshua, throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel. And the people said to Joshua, We will serve the LORD our God and obey him. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, keep us watchful and alert as we wait for the coming of your Son, our Lord. When he stands at the door and knocks, may he not find us asleep in carelessness and sin, but awake in hope and rejoicing, so that we may live with you forever. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

07.01.2022 (Psalm 111:2) Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Let us pray:... Almighty God, you know that we are placed in the midst of such great dangers that we cannot stand upright because of our human frailty. Make us whole in mind and body. Support us in all dangers and carry us through all temptations. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. 06.01.2022 (Philippians 2:5, NIV) In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Let us pray: Merciful God, give us the same attitude as Jesus, who emptied himself and was obedient to you all the way to his death on the cross. Make us eager to put others before ourselves, and their needs before our own. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

06.01.2022 (Romans 14:8, NRSV) If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Let us pray: Thank you, God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you have had mercy on us and have forgiven us through your Son. Make us more like him, so that we too forgive one another from the heart. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

05.01.2022 Let us pray: Lord, keep your family faithful to you. Protect us from all evil, so that we may serve you by doing good, to the glory of your name. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

03.01.2022 (Psalm 34:4-5, NIV) I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.... Let us pray: Lord, you are the crown and reward of all your saints. Lead us to follow their steps and live as your people, and bring us to eternal joy with you. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

02.01.2022 (Romans 3:22b24 NET) For there is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Let us pray: Lord God, you have given all Holy Scriptures for our learning. Lead us to hear them, read, note, learn, and inwardly digest them. Encourage and support us by your Holy Word, so that we may always hold onto the joyful hope of eternal life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. For he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
