17.01.2022 Over the last three weeks, the Year 5 students have been working with Miss B to unpack The Learning Pit and understand how it can be used as a useful tool when faced with challenges in learning. Today the students began creating their own Learning Pit resource in groups which they will use to firstly, show their understanding of the different zones and then, to teach younger students in the next couple of weeks. They have been using the 'Pit' language in their classroom throughout their learning with the support of their teachers. The Year 5's are becoming experts in the Learning Pit and are very excited to share their knowledge and further develop their leadership skills in the school.

08.01.2022 As part of their Religion topic this term, the Year 3’s participated in a ‘Pay it forward’ activity. They decided on some jobs at home that they could be responsible to complete, for a small fee. In return for completing the jobs, money was given by their parents and then brought to school to buy gifts for children, of similar age, in need. We raised a total of $530!! Today, we wrapped the presents, labelled them ‘Given with love’ and invited Deacon Paul to our class to share what we had been able to purchase. He has taken the gifts to distribute to children in need. We are so proud of the children for their hard work, generosity and compassion

02.01.2022 Our Year 2/3 Lakers teams played basketball this week. Their team work was brilliant, they all worked hard and the support from the side lines was amazing (from both players and siblings from our school). Both teams had a great time and there were lots of smiles, even though they lost by 1 goal - 10 to 12. We are very proud of the way they all listened and supported each other!
