19.01.2022 To all our valued friends/patients/customers, I know it is almost too much to comprehend at the moment, however I certainly wanted to touch base to give you an update from our point of view, and what you might need to know about how the business may be affected. On the whole, we are open and fully operational. As it is evolving day to day, it is hard to predict what things will look like in one week or one month. Like most of you, I have had numerous social commitments cancel...led, as well as conferences and seminars etc; which means more time on deck here. This has enabled my staff and I to prepare for possible/future disruptions. My biggest concern is the well-being of my patients and the link below will outline this in more detail. I also have a sneaking suspicion that should the government look at instigating a "Stage 2 lock-down of businesses, this could easily include us. Should this happen, I will be back in touch to advise. However I do urge that any of you that have glasses or contacts ready for collection, to come and collect as soon as you can. Or by all means we can organise to have things sent to you directly. I sincerely hope this wont eventuate. 19.01.2022 It looks like Simon and his family (and Sully) are having a blast at Disneyland!!! Please note the practice is still open for collections while Simon is away - he will be back on the 29th of September!

18.01.2022 BEWARE!!! Hamstring resistance can be dangerous. One of Simon's patient's was recently injured when a "resistance band" gave way whilst stretching his hamstring. OUCH!!!!!

17.01.2022 With a well deserved pass mark achieved on his final Oral Exam, Simon is now qualified to use a wide range of topical medications (eye drops). Once the regulatory bodies have stamped the paperwork, the prescription pads will arrive and Simon will have the ability to prescribe as required, Finally!!

16.01.2022 Simon recently celebrated his birthday at "Macondo" Columbian restaurant in Salisbury. This hidden gem is run by one of Simons patients and has seriously authentic Latin food and great Columbian Coffee

15.01.2022 It is always an interesting venture when we introduce a new line of frames to the practice. However when the lovely Amanda picked up her new "Furla" frames, we were convinced. Maybe there is a chance that Furla are looking for a new poster girl....... If so, look no further. Great new look Amanda.

10.01.2022 Please let me introduce my most recent success story from here at the practice. This is Phil and Phil is part of the under 11 Easts Tigers. Here is a photo before his last game with his glasses on and underneath with his new contact lenses in. He can even put the contact lenses in himself!!!!

My son Larry and I will be joining the team "Coorparoo Boxing Gym" for the hour workout and it would be great to see some familiar faces there to help out with such a great cause.

09.01.2022 Winner, Winner, chicken dinner!!! Or was it pizza?? In any case, the winner of the 2018 installment was T.B who traveled all the way from Boonah for his Eye Test and Dinner. Here he is sporting his new Carter Bond frames with his first pair of multi-focal lenses. Such a good looking rooster, Simon made him parade around the Bent Elbow in the glasses in an attempt to take some promo photos.

08.01.2022 Please do not be alarmed!!! One of our regular patients Graham is actually quite comfortable and undergoing a Blephasteam Treatment. The goggles are used as an in-house treatment for blepharitis, a condition of the eye-lids that is a leading cause of dry eye and associated symptoms.

08.01.2022 How to start your 50th birthday!!! Simon gets a real buzz when someone comes in for an eye exam on their birthday. Andrew turned 50 today and was in for a check-up prior to a big day of celebrations. Happy 50th Andrew. Have a great day.

06.01.2022 Now here is a wonderful story.. One of our patients here is the lovely Lucia (pictured with Simon) who has macular degeneration. She is under the care of the QLD Eye Institute who are holding a charity breakfast in August. Lucia was not happy with simply going to the breakfast so she has taken it upon herself to raise extra money via donations and here at the practice we are committed to helping her out. Lucia has provided us with a donation jar at the practice so please drop your loose change in if you are in over the next month. If you need further information on the breakfast you can contact us directly or follow the details off the brochure. Lucia you are an inspiration as well as having one of the best smiles (and hugs) in Brisbane. Is it also true she makes the best limoncello in Brisbane??
