21.01.2022 2021 Racing Update Thanks to all of our wonderful regular patrons and trainers for your enquiries to-date on our 2021 event. A decision on whether to proceed with our early 2021 date will be reached by the end of November. This will enable us to have a clearer picture of whether the event can be conducted safely and true to the St Pat’s experience that you all know and love.... In addition to Government requirements we are keeping a close eye on information from Racing NSW. You can find their latest updates at: https://mdata.racingnsw.com.au/covid19-updates.aspx#ath We still welcome enquiries by phone or email. 19.01.2022 Earlier this week our many publicans had to close their venues. Today the BDT published their last edition. Many other local businesses have had to stand down staff.... This is an extremely difficult and uncertain time for our community. We are devastated. We are scared. But we are also hopeful. Hopeful that this will all be over soon. Hopeful that Broken Hill locals will continue to support each other in the coming weeks. and hopeful that when we all re-open, our town will once again thrive To all of our wonderful sponsors, we know that these are hard times and we are with you all the way We, and the rest of Broken Hill, look forward to shopping and dining with you soon. 16.01.2022 We can’t wait to welcome you back - St Pats will be racing in 2021! After what has been an unprecedented time for our community and Australia, we are very happy to be able to host our 2021 event to bring some fun back to the Silver City. ... We have received confirmation from Racing NSW that we have been allocated a race date of Saturday 13 March 2021. Tickets will be strictly limited in order to meet COVID-19 requirements, and must be pre-purchased. All patrons will be required to abide by the COVID-19 safety plans set out. Packages will be advertised in the coming weeks. But St Pat’s is RACING!

09.01.2022 Happy Saturday, punters Here is a good Far West success story to set you up for a lucky weekend Last week, Trainer Wayne Marsden made the long trip from Menindee to Nyngan to race his team, and it was well worth it with ‘Late Return’ taking out the Nyngan Picnic Cup. Jockey Michael Wade (pictured) settled his mount midfield in the 1250 metres cup. As they entered the home straight, Late Return ($8) came down the outside to win by over two lengths from I Am Dynamic and Dru...mmed Out. Wayne and his family have been great supporters of St Pats and the Silver City Race Club for many years and it is great to see more success come his way Well done, Wayne & team!

06.01.2022 VALE GARY RIPPER RADFORD OAM Life patron of the St Pat’s Race Club, Gary Radford OAM, passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday 25th April 2020. Gary will be remembered for his outstanding contribution and guidance to our club.... Every project undertaken at the course in the last 50 years Gary has been involved with. The race club extends our deepest sympathy to his wife Kaye and children Steve, Carolyn and Nick.
