An email to all families will be sent later this afternoon, but yes, your child can come to school on Monday. For those of you already managing stir-crazy children, you can go outside to exercise in family groups from now. Bikes, scooters and basketballs, anyone?! Have a wonderful weekend!

11.01.2022 The email to our school community is taking a little longer than expected. Please find information below contained in the email: Dear Parents and Caregivers, This weeks’ edition of Inspire is attached.... Our school pick up procedures will be as normal this afternoon, however you are able to collect your children early. Please call the school office in advance on 8260 2655. Following the Premier’s announcement of a 6 day ‘pause’, the coming days will be school closure days. St Paul Lutheran School will be open for students of essential workers only. Our current understanding of this is people who work in: water, power and telecommunications services supermarkets medical facilities (including mental health services) public transport airports and essential freight services petrol stations post offices and banking institutions mining and smelting operations, and factories that must be maintained childcare facilities for families of essential workers some government services veterinary services essential agricultural services Visit https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/response for updates of this list. This means that teachers will be caring for children of essential workers, and/or caring for their own children and families at home. No official learning activities will be sent home for students. Teachers may have already asked students to finish off some work and this is fine. This will be reassessed after the 6 day ‘pause’, based on government advice at that time. To help us plan for staffing, please email [email protected] if your children will be attending school for essential care tomorrow. Thank you all and blessings to you all as you work through your own family situations for this direction. Leila Mattner Principal

08.01.2022 An important reminder for the St Paul community to be mindful of COVIDSafe practices. Socially distance, wash hands regularly and stay home if unwell. Please read the full SA Health notice below. We are aware that Mawson Lakes Primary School and Preschool are closed for cleaning tomorrow. A mobile testing station has been set up in Parafield. Be assured that we are watching alerts closely and are prepared to act should we need to communicate with families quickly. The best thing families can do to help is remind students of COVIDSafe practices and ensure that we have your most up to date email address and mobile phone number. You can update these by emailing [email protected]. Please don’t post your contact details on our public Facebook page. Thank you and we look forward to seeing students tomorrow.
