24.01.2022 This year Lions Clubs in District 201V-4 are raising funds for a Trans-perineal Ultrasound Prostate Cancer Biopsy Machine. Alan Andrews from the Lions Club of ...Strathfieldsaye informed our club members that this machine costs $260,000. It is 100% accurate in detecting prostate cancer in men. Members of the public are also encouraged to donate directly to Bendigo Health Foundation for Prostate Cancer.

22.01.2022 The Lions Club of Strathfieldsaye today ran a free BBQ in conjunction with installation of free one-way screws as part of "Operation Safe Plate"; at the Strathfieldsaye IGA. Donations were freely taken and these will go to Bendigo Health for much needed equipment to diagnose Prostate Cancer.



22.01.2022 This morning our club cooked breakfast for the 2018 Run For Dad in Bendigo. This event helped to support Prostate Cancer and the Men's Health Clinic at Bendigo... 19.01.2022 The Club assisted with fund-raising for a wheelchair car dock for a 6 year old at their business meeting last night. Funds came from our Club, the Lions District Health and Welfare fund and the Australian Lions Foundation.

07.01.2022 A great night last night when the oldest club in Victoria (Chartered 1952) held its 22nd Youth of the Year Competition in Richmond. The Club has been rebuildin...g with the support of the District Membership team and took the opportunity to induct 4 new members. The Club is currently meeting in the City during the day, once a month. It is targeting business people and professionals to build up its membership. Members of Strathfieldsaye travelled down to assist.

05.01.2022 Lions Club of Strathfieldsaye members this evening were shown around the Bendigo SES HQ and were invited to their weekly de-briefing meeting - the Club was there to donate Trauma Bears to the unit.

04.01.2022 Lions Clubs from V1-4 and V6 of the Loddon Valley Mallee regions got behind District Governor Murray Baud's Project to raise money for Bendigo Health - to go to...wards a new machine to diagnose Prostate Cancer. The night was organised by Bendigo Zone Chairman Wayne Drummond and Project Chairman Alan Andrews. Guest speakers were David (Specialist Prostate Cancer Nurse from Bendigo Health) and former Australian Football League Coach David Parkin. Thank you also to the Bendigo Basketball Stadium for their donation to the cause and to all those Lions members and friends that contributed to the raffle. Also a big thank you to Radio KLFM who ran notices about the event throughout the last fortnite.
