19.01.2022 Tim Massurit - Had a slight mishap out at sea. ... Tagged myself! My own fault for not familiarising myself with the surroundings on a mates boat. Tagged myself at 7.30am, strapped it up (thanks Mick Scott) and changed duties to being on the sticks for the day, fished all day, and did manage to tag a fish, not just myself! Ran back to Hervey Bay and got to the hospital at 7pm for them to yank it out. Then shit got real. With the tag deep in the muscle and between two bones, I needed surgery to get it out. Had an operation late Saturday afternoon Lots of good hallucinating drugs in between - I was competing in the disabled Olympics for swimming! Thanks for the messages and phone calls. As for the suggestions to get the tag number tattooed on my ass, that won't be happening. Big thanks to Mick Michael Scott for putting up with me for the day and coming back to port. #otherspecies See more
