18.01.2022 HAPPY EASTER STREET EATS FOLLOWERS From my family to yours How’s your isolation going?!... Since our season came to an abrupt end 4 weeks ago, my days are filled entertaining an 18 month old & a 13yr old, I’m greatful to be spending my isolation at home with them, keeping everyone & ourselves safe. The sooner we get through this the sooner we can get back to some normality. I miss you all! My customers, fellow food vendors, & being amongst the crazy busy festival atmosphere! 05.01.2022 Firstly Thankyou to everyone who has donated & for your kind words & expressing your opinions politely!! It really means a lot Secondly! Really disappointed in the amount of arrogant & rude people that have commented on the previous post! I can’t seem to turn off commenting & im not deleting the post ... so please if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything FYI - The previous picture was taken prior to the current pandemic, so no more smart ass comments abo...ut the officers not ‘social distancing’ far out, it’s pretty much impossible for essential workers to social distance! That is why I am creating this pool.... they are risking their lives... for us to be able to stay at home. They are risking their & their families health to help keep our community safe. I want to be able to help everyone, but there are other local support groups out there for the ones that are now unemployed & I encourage you to utilize these services as they are there to help. I don’t think there is anyone out there that isn’t struggling in one way or another. This pandemic literally effects everyone. In the mean time... essential workers don’t get any extra benefits, yes they still bring in a wage but look at the risks associated with that. The current stats from the last post is that it has been seen by 17,000 people. Donations are at $200. If everyone could donate a dollar or two we could feed soooo many well deserved workers of our community! Essential workers are everyone that is currently working, everyone that has a job... you are an essential worker. I know people will try and take advantage of this, I wish it could work on an honesty system, so we will ask that you show some sort of Identification to your essential job when ordering your meal. Dates, times, locations to follow next week. I will be donating my time & my worker will also be generously donating her time as well. 03.01.2022 Street Eats has started a community pool, to provide free meals for our essential workers. Our truck will go on a road trip - parked at a certain location over lunch for free takeaway meals to all essential workers. My plan is to rotate days to cover - Leongatha, Foster, Korumburra, Wonthaggi, starting next week.... Let's show our appreciation for our essential workers on the frontline of the current pandemic. They deserve our thanks & admiration plus so much more right now! To help them power through long, exhausting days, its nice to know there is a free meal waiting for them. Our gratitude to them wont go unnoticed, this pool will help Street Eats food truck provide all essential workers a free meal, paid ahead from the community.
