21.01.2022 A little means a lot. It's not surprising to hear people say they feel overwhelmed, defeated and hopeless when faced with the task of finding a suitable saddle... for their horse. This is especially true in cases where there is more than one horse, or in riding schools where having a perfectly fitted saddle for every horse/rider duo is next to impossible. How do you become a millionaire with running a riding school? Start off a billionaire. That said, any small step in the right direction is still better than not taking any action. Whether you own 1 or 40 horses, incremental changes with the assistance of a qualified fitter will provide your horse(s) with the proper comfort and support they need to carry a rider without pain. ****While nothing will ever beat a properly fitted saddle that suits both horse and rider****, there is nothing wrong with working your way up. New saddles can be expensive, and the journey to finding a suitable one headache inducing. Small changes, even something like getting a new girth, a better saddle pad, changing which billets you use can make a difference. It wont be perfect, but it'll be something.

09.01.2022 A massive day today for us in beautiful East Gresford. Three gorgeous horses and 17 saddles tried on each!! They were so beautifully behaved and patient! I think ponies and riders will sleep well tonight. I know the Striderz Team will!

05.01.2022 This is an issue we see a lot of and unfortunately a saddle that is too long for your horse cannot be made to fit. Continuing to use a saddle that has been determined to be too long for the horses back can affect the horse’s way of going considerably and cause irreversible damage. Luckily there are a lot of saddles out there that are made specifically with short backed horses in mind but the saddle also has to fit the rider. In some cases, for example an adult riding a small pony, finding a saddle small enough for the horse but big enough for the rider can be sadly impossible to achieve and this needs to be acknowledged.
