21.01.2022 Suspension Trainer moves continue....The humble row may well be the most familiar move on this piece of equipment so here are a couple of variations on that theme. adjust the difficulty by moving your feet - the closer you are to the attachment point the more intense a row will be. keep your bum up and body in a straight(ish) line use your back and arm to pull yourself up on the single arm variation - resist the urge to use momentum and throw yourself up . 05.01.2022 For someone who bangs on about the joy of movement, it has been lacking in my own life of late. Workouts have seemed like a chore to fit in between work and home life. It happens sometimes and it's ok . I'm back in the zone doing what I enjoy - playing . I was recently taught how to cartwheel by a 7 year old and although it's still a work in progress, I'm pretty stoked that this old dog can learn new tricks

04.01.2022 F#ck it moments! Ever had one of them? Made a pretty big decision on (seemingly) the spur of the moment? I certainly have, I would guess that a large portion of my life decisions have come from f#ck it moments, which I used to think was irresponsible until I realised most of them had worked out. We can gather as much information as we care to but sometimes we will never have all the information we need. Our brains will keep searching for the information before making a decis...ion because that's easier than actually making the decision itself. We get caught up in 'paralysis by analysis' and miss out on all sorts of opportunities. Sometimes we just need to say, "f#ck it!" and dive head first into what our gut is telling us. Our life experience and previous knowledge may be behind this moment, or it might be a truly raw f#ck it moment. Whichever one it is, doing something will bring a result whereas doing nothing....? I had a moment a couple of weeks ago when I decided to rent a space and start up a manual therapy part of my business. My qualification blends lymphatic massage and myofascial release. The best part?? I get to use toothbrushes! . Actually, that's not the best part although it is cool: I get to help people feel like a freaking bad ass unicorn. I'm down with that
