24.01.2022 Here’s a great post about how to recharge our human batteries. Repost from @anxiety_wellbeing - WHERE TO PLUG YOUR HUMAN CHARGER IN ? . @anxiety_wellbeing .... @katie_illustrated . 1% that's what alot of people are running on, why do we do that to ourselves? Running on low = stress within the mind and body = stress responce= anxiety. I tell you why, because we think it's wrong to Stop, it's not ok if we need a break, it's not a sign we've being taking on too much, it's a sign there is something wrong with us, that we should be able to cope. Core beliefs that are NOT TRUE! It's not your fault we think like this, we've been brought up like it, that's how it feels, peers, tv, social media all give us this idea. The TRUTH is The blame lies in the way our modern lives are being run, taking on too much, thinking you can't stop, chasing a carrot for your whole life only to find you missed the whole journey, focusing on the end game & NOT the present. Communities feeling apart, feeling lonely, human needs not met, we can change these core beleifs, question them, we can change this, it's starts within you. GET RECHARGING THOSE NEEDS. 75% YES you can say no to things YES you can take breaks YES it's ok to feel it's too much ' it is too much!'' YES it's ok for you to choose YES a regular break is important. YES your feelings are valid NO you've not failed youre human PLUG IN TO YOUR HUMAN NEEDS EVERYDAY Take time just to breathe, are you holding your breath? Take a break from the screen Get out today in the fresh air Let out emotions, cry, write them down, sing. Be mindful of the present, try not to worry about the future Take 10 minute rest, regularly Have a break from social media Connect with something you love today Have you spoken to anyone today, call, go see them, get out. Drink water Eat well Try not to say yes when you mean no. . All these will help recharge you + doing anything you love, a sport, art activities, music, looking at life with eyes wide open, nature, animals, gratefulness. No more blame and 1%, more recharge, life is for living [email protected] #anxietyhelp #anxietytips #anxietysupport #mindset #human
23.01.2022 Here’s a great quote about life, which emphasises that life is not good or bad, but a mixture between both extremes. We will experience good days and difficult days, and good within the hard days and bad times during the good days. There are different seasons of life, and different times of laughter, sadness, joy, mourning and so forth. Try to not generalise how you think about your life, and remember, a bad day does not mean you have a bad life, and a crap beginning doesn’t ...dictate that the ending will also be crap. #mentalhealthquotes #mentalhealth #life #yourstoryisntoveryet
21.01.2022 Upon reflecting on my life, I must admit that not once have I ever felt a morsel of regret for being kind. I have however regretted the times I reacted from an unpleasant emotion and spoke words that hurt instead of healed. I’ve regretted choosing to react by treating people the same way they treated me because I learned that an eye for an eye only leaves everyone blind. Ive also regretted allowing other people’s behaviours and attitudes impact me on such a deep level that I ...lost a sense of myself for so long... I’ve also learnt that we can’t live in the past, so I’ve had to forgive myself for feeling this way, take the lesson from the experience and let it go. But I’ve never regretted being kind, or blessing others even when they didn’t deserve it... #lifestooshorttolivewithregrets #kindness #regretfree #lessonslearnedinlife
21.01.2022 Don’t delay and put off until another day, whatever it is that you need to do, or start working on today. Struggling to get started? Here are some things that help me with this: - Write up a list of what you need/want to do. - Prioritise the items on your list from, very important to not as important. - Calculate how long the task/s will take you to complete.... - Take a few minutes to rearrange or organise a set period of time during the day you can set aside to see to your task. - If possible and relevant, write down some names of people who can help and support in achieving your task/s. - Try to seek out an accountability partner who will be able to celebrate the victories with you, and help and support you with keeping on track. I must admit that sometimes I find it very daunting to deal with certain issues I need to address. I do have a tendency to try and procrastinate with issues that may be confrontational or demanding, but am learning the value of dealing with these things ‘today’ instead of postponing them. #makingeachdaycount #formingnewhabits #procrastination #makethemostoftoday
11.01.2022 Never forgot - you are a human being, not a machine so it’s completely normal to slip up and make a mistake. Mistakes do not define you. Mistakes are a natural byproduct of being human. We are not perfect, which means it’s okay and normal to make a mistake here and there. Don’t beat yourself up if or when you make a mistake. Mistakes can be the greatest growth opportunities we will ever have - as long as are open to learning from them. #mistakesarelessons #imonlyhuman #mistakeshappen
04.01.2022 Such a wonderful reminder that we need to practice self care each day, not every once in a while when we’re on the brink of burnout. Remember, a job position/title and other material possessions can be replaced - but you and other people can’t ever be replaced, so invest wisely in what is irreplaceable in your life. Repost from @kaha.mind using - Imagine a plant that gets watered, but only once in a while.... The same logic applies to you. Self care is important, and for it to have effect, it has to be done regularly. Don’t know where to start? Here’s some simple self care habits that you can incorporate in your daily schedule - 1) A little exercise. 2) Nourish yourself. 3) Check in with yourself regularly. 4) Eat well. 5) Prioritise and learn to say no. 6) Spend some quality me time. 7) Rest enough. 8) Consciously work towards your goals and allow room for flexibility and change. 9) Surround yourself with people who make you happy. 10) Repeat to yourself - self care is not selfish. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #kahamind #selfcareianotselfish #selfcare
