In conclusion of the (spiritual discrimination) lectures, His grace Archbishop Amel Nona has presented the last lecture titled "Guidance and the Sacrament of Confession" on Friday 27/11/2020, in where he explained the difference between the spiritual guidance, which is an attempt to highlight some basic aspects of the believer’s spiritual life through the maturation and deepening in the personal vision of each individual and a faithful community, and between the Sacrament of Confession, which is a religious practice whose first purpose is to embody our need for God, His mercy, His tenderness and surrending ourselves to Him. His grace also mentioned the basic elements of self-training for spiritual guidance, which he summarized as follows: the environment around the person, the focus on the positives, freedom from shyness, freedom from the excessive sensitivity of the opinions of others, the ability to know and analyze and express oneself, the reduction of speech, and the prayer. Since we are pleased with your commitment and your efforts to benefit from the lectures, we thank you all for coming, praying that you all be blessed by the grace of our Lord.
