25.01.2022 Had a visitor which we believe is a Powerful Owl. It is listed as a threatened species so we were extremely excited to have him here. The miner birds & magpies weren't so impressed with him hanging around but he slept all day. What a magnificent bird.

20.01.2022 While it was quiet we were able to make some upgrades to the dining room. Not quite done yet but improvements to the room acoustics were needed. Big thanks to Keith Robertson for his expertise and assistance.

20.01.2022 Had a lovely group of friends celebrating a milestone birthday. Their plan was to celebrate at Lord Howe Island but Covid deviated their plans to us. Happy Birthday Francis. Celebrated in style with glorious weather all week.

13.01.2022 Get amongst it! Camping is back on! $25 nights over winter, fires allowed and a current ocean water temp of 22 C!!

If you are one of our regulars & are planning to come camping here, please remember to jump onto our website & take advantage of our online winter saver special. Click on the picture of the marshmallows over the fire & it will take you to the link to book. PLEASE don't just turn up. We need to know how many people are coming camping so we can have enough amenities blocks open to allow for healthy physical distancing & adequate daily sanitizing. Looking forward to welcoming you to our grounds. It is currently 24 degrees. Next week will be an average of around 20 degrees. Bring some warm 'jarmies' for the night with temps down to 7, but you can bring your fire pit to keep warm, provided you have a solid base underneath it.

08.01.2022 Over 1 and a half days 25 volunteers came together to help cut and lay 1350m2 of turf in the new big tent marquee area. It was a mammoth effort! Thank you to all the people who gave up their time to assist.

01.01.2022 You are probably aware that the big tent at Stuarts Point Convention Centre has been upgraded with a brand new rectangular marquee. During Construction, the existing grass covering had been removed leaving sand. We will be cutting turf from another part of the campground and lay it on topsoil that is now covering the sand. To do this, a working bee has been organised for Tuesday and Wednesday 12th & 13th May. We need a team of between 24-30 able bodied persons volunteering... their time to complete the task. We currently have 15. Meals and accommodation will be provided at the Centre. Those willing to assist are asked to arrive on site no later than 6.00pm on Monday 11 May ready for an 8.00am start on Tuesday morning. The task will involve physical work including bending down. Preference will be given to those within reasonable distance of the campground. Please register your name by emailing Rochelle Gilroy at [email protected], replying to this post or messaging us directly so that work teams can be efficiently organised, work condition guidelines provided and appropriate accommodation arranged. You must be registered to be allowed onto the site. Stuarts Point Convention Centre is a work site and all measures in line with the restrictions associated with Covid19 will be strictly adhered to.
