24.01.2022 Valentine's Day earring class. 60 happy students. Who needs pierced ears to enjoy?

24.01.2022 I took this photo at the Callistoga CA Sunday markets thinking it might make an inspiration photo. I don't know if it will ever be a quilt but it makes a great jigsaw. Enjoy!

19.01.2022 A beautiful hand painted and beaded full circle 50's skirt in the 50's clothing fashion parade at the Ballarat Heritage weekend. It's part of the Darnell collection. 9000 original vintage dresses!

16.01.2022 On Friday I went to the Craft and Quilt Fair at the Convention Centre in Sydney. What a pleasant surprise to run into some of the ladies I taught handcraft on the Sea Princess in January/February on the cruise to South America. What a small world we live in!

15.01.2022 I have been busy putting together the kits for my students for the Patchwork and Paper Craft cruise Needlework Tours and Cruises which departs on April 1st. These are the choices for the Putting on the Glitz class. They will all be unique as all the backgrounds are different.

15.01.2022 I can’t believe it has been almost 12 months since the last Quilt Norfolk. These are the lovely ladies who attended my classes and the beautiful quilt tops they made. Quilt Norfolk is on again in October. http://www.quiltnorfolk.com/

14.01.2022 This is my new postcard I have just completed. It is for the upcoming Patchwork and Quilting cruise on the Celebrity Solstice that goes to Noumea and Lifou on April 1st. It shows the classes I will be teaching. Bookings are now closed for the cruise classes but you have another opportunity to make my beautiful Chic Satin Cushion at the Australian Machine Quilters Festival in Adelaide in August. 13.01.2022 Teaching handcraft on the Sea Princess en route to Buenas Aires

12.01.2022 I don't normally quilt from patterns but I really want this pattern. I love it!

12.01.2022 This is at an amazing water park in Lima Peru called Magic Waters. Acres of fountains and water features all coloured by ever changing lights. These arches you walk through are actually coloured water spurts. It is called the arch of surprises the surprise? Every now and again it spurts at you amidst screams of delight! A truly inspiring visual and sensory evening.

11.01.2022 I absolutely loved this quilt called Delightful Daisies by Bernadine Hine at the Craft and Quilt Show last week at the convention Centre in Sydney. In particular the hand painting of fine details and colour blending was fabulous A truly inspirational quilt that deserved all the awards it won.

10.01.2022 In January, when I was teaching handcraft on the Sea Princess, I met Penelope Haines who was a guest lecture on board. I have just read and enjoyed her latest novel, Straight and Level. Unfortunately when we were on board the library was full of empty shelves so I recommend you take your own reading material and Straight and Level would make a good holiday read.

10.01.2022 Some of my students working on "Spanish Fans" on a sea day near Spain on the Pacific Princess

08.01.2022 Twisty Twins stilt walkers entertained the crowd while waiting (in the rain!) for entry into the gala "Carnival" night at the New Zealand Quilt Symposium. They also performed an amazing twin aerial silk act.
