18.01.2022 If I may share an observation that I’ve made whilst working with others! Too often people make other people’s reactions into something personal! As though it’s... all about them when in reality the other person is quite simply having an out of context reaction due to an out of balanced belief they have! Being self aware means being able to quickly identify when something has triggered the mind! This means taking full accountability for how we feel and not blaming others! When we get triggered, this means we have been hot wired to some deep young emotional pain, sadness, fear or vulnerability! Everytime we blame others for how we feel, we are essentially playing the role of a victim! Why be a victim? Rather why not be the cause of how you feel? This is what I have noticed self empowered people do! Who or what are you blaming for how you feel? Please share this if you resonate and feel that in doing so it might help people that you know, to stop blaming the world for how they feel and turn rather towards a life of conscious responsible living! 14.01.2022 This week our theme is exploring how do we treat our bodies and can have more space to treat our bodies with metta loving kindness How is your connection between your mind and body, are you wired up with a two way flow of communication or maybe there is a disconnect? How do you see your body, How do you feel about your body, what do you make your body do, where do you take your body, who do you surround your body with, what do you expose your body to daily, what do you put... into your body, what do you put on your body, what stimuli do you expose your body to (sound, smell, sight, taste, sun) and how long do you rest your body daily? What of the above answers are nourishing you and filling your body with metta and promoting balance? What of the above are possibly promoting imbalance and taking away metta? When I think back to life before yoga, there was a definite disconnect between my mind and my body! I would demand unrealistic levels of physical activity even when my body was injured and sending me strong signals that I was requiring rest and repair. Did I listen....no! Challenge this week is to increase connectivity between mind and body and allow a 2 way flow of messaging instead of the mind constantly firing demands and commanding the body to giddy up? Increasing self metta (loving kindness), check in, what am I needing more or less of, what’s one change you could adopt this week to promote more physical balance? Also practising gratitude for how awesome our bodies are.....We are literally a walking, moving talking, thinking and breathing living wonder!

If you have borrowed any of our mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, weights etc to use at home during the lock down time, we would greatly appreciate it if you could please clean, wash and return to the studio as we are now running face to face classes and services. As of Monday 15th June the following changes are happening at Studio Benefit: - in studio classes are resuming for chair yoga, mat yoga, Pilates and beat it maintenance classes and we are excited to be the keeping the online virtual options too. ... - most classes will have option to book in studio OR virtual online zoom options so be sure to book your class modality preference, and book minimum day ahead if booking a virtual class to ensure codes can be sent to you with ample time. - Bookings are essential, and in studio numbers are capped to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to. If you do not book a spot and walk in expecting a place.....please be aware you may be turned away, better to book to avoid disappointment! - virtual on line lunch time classes are teaming and will now run mon, wed and Friday 12.30pm for 40min sessions. - in studio classes you will need to bring your own props to use including mats/bolsters/blocks and water bottles etc. - you will be temperature checked prior to entering and required to sanitise your hands upon entering and exiting building. If you are unwell please do not come to class in studio, choose the virtual option instead. If you have been in contact with anyone infected with Covid 19 or returning from recent travel do not come into studio until cleared or completed 14 day self isolation. - whilst waiting for class and when leaving after class, we ask you enter/exit without gathering and talking whilst maintaining a social distance at all times. - Aqua classes tues and Friday 8am will be resuming from tues 23rd June at the Manning Aquatic Centre. - if you have questions about other classes not listed, unfort there is no change at this point in time, current measures and scheduling continue. - we appreciate your patience over the coming weeks as we all adjust to the logistical changes and we will be doing our best to make the transition as smooth as possible - feel free to call or message me 0438430082 for any other info. Are your keys in your hand??Maybe we’ve accidentally lost our keys in the past, or forgotten we’ve hung them up here or there, or we’ve left our keys in someone else’s pocket for safe keeping? Consequentially, we can be left wondering how and when did this happen as well as wondering why aren’t I happy Another trap to be mindful of is destination happiness.... if I just... get this, then achieve that, then move over to there.... then I’ll be happyhow long for? Placing happiness on people or external factors that are out of your control is also a happiness trap..... if they just do this, if they didn’t say that....... then I’d be happy how long for? The challenge to take responsibility for all our feelings including happiness is a big one and a work in progress! Can I choose to be happy now? If this is challenging, practising gratitude is a great way to change the lens to view your world in from a colour to a brighter colour. See more
