20.01.2022 The studio has been busy creating custom ordered illustrations. A trip to Melbourne in August inspired incentive to pick up pencils and brush pens and draw again. Old school! Orders include illustrations that have been framed and printed on Spinnerella tees. If you want something that's not an on-line purchase that everybody has, why not brief our artist, Caroline, for your custom design? It's very affordable. Support local! We are proud to be an Australian company!

19.01.2022 Team Koiled Petbarn approached us to design their 2015 team cycling kit. Koiled is largely compiled of cyclists who have made the jump to road for fitness, and are focused on the local criterium, road racing and TTT races and mountain biking. Koiled have secured a great partnership with PetBarn / Greencross vets and Seight Custom Cycling Wear along with the ongoing support of Once More and Koiled Imports. With this new sponsorship support the roster has grown to nearly 40 ri...ders and has expanded both track program and women’s roster encouraging development and participation in both these areas of the sport and all have one thing in common - to ride and race hard while retaining the pure enjoyment of riding a bike. Koiled are known for their brightly coloured distinctive team kits and gear. This year the design was based on a dragon tattoo illustration. It was custom produced by Seight Custom Cycling Wear and is a quality made garment with high quality chamois. Every cyclists comfort! It was a great pleasure to produce artwork and design again for two years running. Rachel Edwards, Once More and Koiled ladies Team Leader, was a delight to work with and our experience with her was very rewarding! We know it stands out! Keep an eye out for it on the road and dirt and in your newsfeed by ‘Liking’ their Facebook page KoiledPETPARN Racing!

15.01.2022 Hi friends of Studio e! Recently we were asked to work on a logo for ESi Sports Photography. Initially, our two clients had very different ideas of how their logo should look. It's important to remember that you don't always have the opportunity to work with just one client. A large number of our clients have partners and upper management and a team to take into consideration. I was given two briefs in this case. I took both into account before I started working on the proje...ct. I emailed my layouts to my two clients, both replying with a positive response. I arranged to have them meet with me to go over the designs. For the first time ever, we scrapped the original layouts and worked from scratch! Within an hour we had an entirely different concept! Funnily enough we were all happy! Therefore, it is important to remember that the best concepts are ones in which you work on with your clients as a team. Just because you are the Graphic Designer, doesn't mean that your client is not creative. It is my belief, that everyone is creative. If you think back to the days at Kindergarten, we all had the opportunity to explore different mediums and work with our hands and imaginations to create wonderful pieces of artwork. Somewhere along the way we stopped expressing ourselves creatively. I get a kick out of talking with my clients whom aren't afraid to explore and express different possibilities. There were several versions of the logo required for WEB suitability. We also had to design a version as a watermark (overlay) to be used over the photographs to protect copyright and for their Facebook page. I hope you like the outcome! Thank you Danny and Tadii for employing our services!

09.01.2022 REFLECTIONS AN EMERGING ARTIST EXHIBITION We often find that life gives us many topics to reflect on, but very little time to do so. The Exhibition of five emerging Australian artists - Caroline Jones, Carolyn Farbach, Jane Hoggard, Ross Leondiou, and Sue Gordon provides not only the opportunity but the incentive to do so. ... CAROLINE JONES Sculptural Artist, Brisbane QLD Caroline is an Expressionist Figurative Sculptural Artist seeking to depict not objective reality, but rather the subjective emotions and responses that events arouse within herself. Having graduated from the Queensland College of Art with a Diploma of Arts (Fine Art, Printmaking) and a Certificate in Commercial Art (Graphic Design), she is a self taught sculptural artist and has been creating pieces in her studio for the last 3 years, playing, learning technique, form, shape and experimenting. Caroline's chosen medium is clay, as she enjoys being led by its organic state, as well as its tactility, beauty, and subjectivity - often conveying things she can never talk about. Her goal is to call upon a past experience or emotion, where her audience will tell her what they see and feel, rather than asking what it means. On the theme, 'Reflections': Your perception of me is a reflection of you; my reaction to you is an awareness of me. ~ Bobbi Chegwyn. In this exhibition, I have re-created my own past experiences through clay sculptures to highlight the perceptions others can place on you and the truth that often lie underneath these views. ‘Reflections’ is on at Aspire Gallery, Paddington, Wednesdays Saturdays, 10:30am 4:30pm, 28 August to 7 September 2019. The artists invite the public to attend the opening night on Saturday 31 August 2019 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. More information on the exhibition can be found at: www.aspiregallery.com.au/reflections2019 About Aspire Gallery: Aspire Gallery is an art gallery that builds and develops emerging and semi-professional artists into full-time professional artists. 07.01.2022 How do you put a price tag on art? Three years ago I was told over the phone We no longer require your services. I was employed through a Brisbane Agency to work at a Northside Company as a Graphic Designer, assisting a Senior Designer. I call this period of my career The School of Hard Knocks. Whereby Casual employment does not entitle privileges or loyalty. In order to progress, first you must fail. ... I was unemployed and forced to get creative. I titled myself as Gap Year, packed up my corporate wardrobe of 30 years, gave my iMac to my daughter, bought a bag of clay, tools, and set myself up on my deck and taught myself how to sculpt. But how did you earn? Friends asked. I did whatever was necessary to get me to this point. I refused assistance. Let’s call that The Douglas Stubborn Gene. At first, failure sucked. But now I am grateful for it. Because it forced me to pursue my desire to complete my Fine Art career. On Saturday I delivered my first batch of sculptures to Aspire Gallery, Paddington. 10 sculptures with 10 stories. I invite you to view to my exhibition of Gap Year Sculptures on a Shoestring Budget. About this exhibition: Reflections ~ features five emerging Australian artists - Caroline Jones, Carolyn Farbach, Jane Hoggard, Ross Leondiou, and Sue Gordon. Each artist was awarded a position in the exhibition through Aspire Gallery’s emerging artist competitions over the past twelve months. Their selection reflects each artists’ success so far in their artistic career whilst also acknowledging their future potential. The Exhibition runs from 28 August - 7 September, Wednesdays - Saturdays. All are invited to attend the Opening Night on Saturday 31 August, 4:30 - 6:30pm. Aspire Gallery 53 Kennedy Terrace Paddington QLD 4064

06.01.2022 Hi, my name is Caroline Jones. I am an Expressionist Figurative Sculptural Artist seeking to depict not objective reality, but rather the subjective emotions and responses that events arouse within myself. I graduated from the Queensland College of Art with a Diploma of Arts (Fine Art, Printmaking) and a Certificate in Commercial Art (Graphic Design). For the past 22 years I’ve worked alongside my husband, Bradley, in our Brisbane Studio, as Senior Designer and Account Mana...ger. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some wonderful clients! But...my passion is from my initial study as a Fine Art student. My mother and father encouraged me to apply to art school as a young 17 year old. I now have the opportunity to move from the digital world to the real world. I cannot wait. Don’t panic! Bradley will continue to provide all your design requirements. He is a creative and ambitious designer and specializes in cycling apparel! I have been creating pieces for the last 3 years, playing, learning technique, form, shape and experimenting. I’ve held my first exhibition and sold works. My chosen medium is clay. I enjoy being led by its organic state, as well as its tactility, beauty, and subjectivity...often conveying things I can never talk about. My goal is to call upon a past experience or emotion, where my audience will tell me what they see and feel, rather than asking what it means. I have purchased a Skutt Kiln and am excited to be offering workshops. Head on over to my new Instagram Account caroline_jones_fine_artist to view my artwork and find information about my up coming workshops in clay hand building on offer. I am currently working on it so stay tuned! In time I shall have a separate Facebook Account. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you and showing you the joy of clay. If you are interested in more information please email [email protected]

04.01.2022 "Our Citipointe" CLIENT: Citipointe Christian College Brisbane JOB: 24pp Magazine... Our client, Citipointe Christian College Brisbane, asked us to refresh their term newsletter. The brief was: Change of sizesmaller than an A4, along the lines of the Frankie Magazine. Paper stocksomething different. Offset? Contemporary look. After having produced their magazine for over 10 years we were familiar with the content and use to working with variation of material and tight deadline. We were able to persuade our client to provide less text and larger format photo’s. This allowed us to increase the point size and enlarge photo’s still enabling use of white space. The first run of the magazine was well accepted and feedback from parents of students and staff was positive. One of the parents was a marketing manager and complimented us on a great production. They suggested we call the magazine a seasonal name rather than by term. Post production we have liaised with our printer and have now adjusted colour settings for images and background colours (inline with offset paper stock) in readiness for the next edition. Here is the outcome...
