These are a fantastic alternative way of adding some potted greenery to your house that will never require watering

24.01.2022 Fathers Day is approaching everyone! But it’s ok - we have been busy stocking up our online FOR HIM collection with lots of beautiful things that we think might really appeal to the menfolk. Here’s a little bunch of nice things that Dad could use in his working day. Whether you spoil him with a beautiful handmade mug or maybe something to make his work desk a little nicer - we have lots of ideas for the discerning Dad about town.

22.01.2022 Some incredible new earrings just in from @beautifullysprued. Hollow and cocoon-like, these oxidised silver earrings have lovely cut-out segments at every angle. Like all of her work, it’s captivating and like nothing you’ve ever seen. Just beautiful Anna!

22.01.2022 Fresh wrist gear in from @ashhiltonjewellery. Ash makes beautiful jewellery from recycled silver and hand scribes the most beautiful, nature inspired designs on to them. Restrained, simple and precise line drawings that are also poetic and whimsical. And we just love them.

22.01.2022 Black earrings? Did you know you needed some? Probably didn’t know you could even find some, much less ones these cool. We have oxidised silver, hand carved coal and powder coated. All very lovely and waiting for a closer look.

Adelaide based @anjajagsch scours the landscape for beautiful specimens to cast into silver, to captures these moments of beauty forever. Each piece is completely unique, a new cutting found for each wearer. What could be more lovely than that? Fresh in store and only one of each pair.

21.01.2022 Beautiful little asymmetrical flower studs from @anjajagsch. A little moment of nature captured forever in time. Anja choses a new flower or leaf with each piece of jewellery she making her work a constant practice of observing, selecting and preserving the ever changing natural environment. I just love these.

20.01.2022 Oooh for those not aware - we have a thing for earrings around here. They are my personal fave and I could never have too many pairs. Here’s a little selection currently hanging around in the cabinet. Top and right are from Greek based @beautifully_sprued and bottom left are petal dangle earrings from @virginiasprague_jewellery. All would look awesome in my jewellery box

19.01.2022 We’ve had a bunch of new work just arrived from @anjajagsch. Anja scours the landscape for flowers and leaves to cast and capture in metal. Each piece is made from a new cutting collected by Anja and in this case, the silver box leaves have then been oxidised to a beautiful dark grey, almost black. For the locals, don’t forget we are closed for our mini-reno and will reopen at 10am on Wed with a new look store complete with lots of beautiful @highteawithmrswoo clothing. Can’t wait

17.01.2022 Happy weekend everyone. Here’s a little earring shot I took this afternoon of just a taste of our silver earring collection currently in stock. 17.01.2022 A spread of the fresh batch of hand painted plates from Brisbane ceramicist @juliesmeros. Julie uses the most beautiful indigo throughout her work, painting the symbols, creatures and animals depicting her Greek heritage. Each plate sells with a custom made hanger - ready to hang when you get home. But who could take just one, huh??

13.01.2022 So this is a weed - it’s called galenia. I feel a little rough calling something so beautiful a weed, but I’m sure this little guy has caused some heart ache to many a gardener out there. South Australian maker @anjajagsch forages for cuttings, each piece a unique piece she has gathered and cast into silver and therefore entirely unique. We have recently unpacked a huge order from her - so pop online and check them out. The last batch lasted about a week!

Beautiful and sculptural bases with hand drawn botanical design from @pilarbox, jewellery fresh from @alisonjackson.studio and lovely wooden animals via @tlab_japan. My advice - get in early before the pillaging begins.

11.01.2022 Check out these amazing oxidised silver Ash Queen earrings recently arrived from Anna Vlahos aka @beautifullysprued. Anna once called Australia home bit is now based in Athens and we do love a fresh batch of goodies from her. These ones remind me of party balloons with beautiful cut out shapes that let light play through them. Always unique and always fascinating work.

11.01.2022 Tiny golden raindrops hanging lightly from a fine gold chain. Each one of these necklaces is unique as every handcut raindrop is different. Made in Somerset, by English maker @siataylorjewellery, who works at an intricate scale. Sia’s pieces are detailed and sculptural and draw inspiration from the infinitely tiny forms and organic irregularity of the natural world. This beautiful necklace currently in stock with us.

10.01.2022 So it’s really happened - we now have a retail space that brings you not just beautiful jewellery, objects and art but also some of the most ethical and thoughtful clothing around. Today we opened the doors on our new co-retailing space with @highteawithmrswoo. You’ll find we’ve ever so slightly pared back our collection to showcase the best of work from our makers interspersed with garnets, mindfully designed and locally made with natural fabrics. 10.01.2022 Yippee - first batch of goodies in for a while from one of our favourite Canberrans @virginiasprague_jewellery. These Remnants earrings are beautifully botanical silver studs with 22ct gold carefully applied to the inside surfaces of the buds and flowers creating a lovely glow. Welcome back Virginia - we’ve missed you!

08.01.2022 Incredible range of bell necklaces all the way from Greece and the clever hands of @beautifully_sprued. Each bell has its own little clapper (new word of the day) - which hangs inside the bell and creates a lovely gentle tinkle as the weather moves. Functioning little guys with their own unique little sound, hand made in silver or brass and strung simply on silk cord.

Clockwise from the top - Nurture earrings from @sarahbourkejewellery. Wood paired with silver that has been cleverly shaped into leaf like forms. To the right, layered tassel earrings from Canberra based @virginiasprague_jewellery. Partially oxidised sterling silver with little patches of gold leaf, arranged in a multilayered tassel with lovely movement. Lastly oxidised Chroma earrings from @millythomasmakes featuring lots of Milly’s decorative rainbow motifs.

Tomorrow is our last day closed to complete our mini renovation before we swing open on Wednesday at 10am to reveal our new shared space with @highteawithmrswoo. Gotta say - it’s starting to look pretty beautiful in there . . .

05.01.2022 A cluster of seven rosecut diamonds in all the shades of grey, nestled into organic gold cups and a richly textured band. The gentle matte finish of the gold enhances the sparkle reflecting off the facets of the opaque diamonds. Handmade in the London studio of @ruthtomlinsonjewellery and now sitting pretty with us.

03.01.2022 Oooh more of the awesome new earrings just arrived from @beautifully_sprued. Small and large quarrefoil earrings with repeating hole detail to make them not only super lurvelee but also lighter weight.

03.01.2022 A bunch of absolute beautiful just in from @juliesmeros. Julie is a Brisbane based ceramicist that makes one of a kind pieces of jewellery from hand painted porcelain components.

03.01.2022 The beautiful new Remnant Ring that’s just arrived from @virginiasprague_jewellery. Sterling silver eith hints of gold, this ring is sculptural but hugs comfortably to the hand and feels wonderful to wear. I might have given it a good road test around the shop earlier this week and was a bit sad to take it off.

02.01.2022 Oooh just arrived!! A beautiful pair of lightly oxidised Brita earrings from @littleanvilstudios. These remind me of a the detail on a pressed tin roof and each and every mark is hand stamped by Misa. This is handmade jewellery at its very best. Also available in sterling silver.

02.01.2022 Well the time has finally arrived folks. Our beautiful friends High Tea with Mrs Woo will be moving in with us this weekend! For those that don’t know them, they are a team of three incredible sisters (Ro, Jules and Ange) that design and produce a small run clothing label based in Newcastle. They produce eloquent, thoughtful clothing and accessories using natural fibres, with a focus on minimal waste. We’ll be open for normal trade today until 3pm, then we’ll close until wed 10am for a little shop renovating Magic. Please come and visit us next week to check out our new look retail space!! In the meantime - we’re always open online and happy to hand deliver local orders or arrange for a time for you to pop by and knock and collect, while we do our reno! Xx

01.01.2022 A little sneak peek of some new @fraserhamiltonjewellery rings that have just landed. Trade mark hands holding on to some beautiful stones and also some of his lovely ‘wrapped’ rings. These wrapped rings have lovely stones set in gold that appears to wrap around the stone in built up layers. Beautiful as always, Fraser
