04.01.2022 Three years ago.... I could hardly pointe this left foot without wincing... I spent a year with stubborn tendonitis (inflammation in my FHL) which meant I lost range in one foot & for me that was a big thing! When things couldn’t feel any more hopeless during that time, I felt a new pain on the top of my other foot and discovered I had early signs of arthritis in the joint where my arch pointes from wear and tear. I lost all confidence & enjoyment in my dancing and the frust...ration of the relentless pain & inflammation made me rethink where my career was going.... As a professional ballet dancer my body is my one & only fundamental instrument.
