25.01.2022 Life-saving and life-changing medicine Spinraza will be expanded on the PBS on December 1, to include children & infants genetically diagnosed with the most severe types of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, before the onset of symptoms. The listing will save families more than $367,000 per treatment, and give beautiful young Australians a better quality of life.

10.01.2022 Up to 190,000 tonnes of soft plastic packaging per year, the equivalent of almost 200 billion chocolate wrappers will be recycled and reprocessed under just one of the proposals funded through the Morrison Government’s National Product Stewardship Investment Fund. The Morrison Government is funding 15 projects out of the $10.5 million scheme with the Australian Food and Grocery Council securing a grant that will bring the food and grocery supply chain together for the first time to tackle the problem of hard to recycle consumer plastics.

The landmark koala package will include funding for health research and medical support, as well as the restoration of key habitat sites through on-ground actions such as revegetation, weed control, fencing, managed grazing and tailored fire planning and implementation.

OCCUPATION RAINFALL | QLD Cinemas opens in cinemas across the country today. The prequel 'Occupation' was also filmed locally, right here in Helensvale. You can watch the prequel now on Netflix before heading to the local Cinema for the sequel. ... I encourage all Gold Coast residents to support local jobs and go see it.

06.01.2022 Escape from the Spiderhead- a Netflix film featuring Chris Hemsworth to be filmed locally with support from the Morrison Government's Location Incentive program. This latest investment will inject millions into the local economy and create hundreds of local jobs. ... These jobs will be in many different areas from carpenters, lighting technicians and set designers to actors, crews and special effects teams. Given the challenges the film and television industry has faced this year on a global level, I am thrilled the producers and Netflix have been able to choose the Gold Coast. With many productions being shot on the Gold Coast, I am very pleased with the Morrison Government announcement to deliver further support to attract film and television production to our shores.

With a subsidy of up to $200 a week for eligible employees, the JobMaker Hiring Credit will support jobs for young Australians.... This is part of the Morrison Government’s plan to create jobs, rebuild the economy & secure Australia’s future.
