24.01.2022 Here is an update on the FJ20 we put together last year Finally got to the dyno with Pauls custom hub mounts and a quick run in she did well. I would like to thank Tyler at PVS for the Dyno time especially as it was after hours and there was a bit of setting up with this car.

18.01.2022 Always do the fork !! Another car we have had in where the clutch had been replaced only about 10 months earlier and then this. Best was the fork pivot had not even been lubed up when the new clutch was fitted. You can inspect these forks and see how bad they are wearing we find it mainly the dry ones are the worst.

15.01.2022 So it starts We thought we had better start with striping the old car and getting rid of the wreck. These are a heap of different pics showing the amount of damage around the car and the more we got into it the more bends and kinks we found. Next step will be going through whats left and usable.

12.01.2022 No phones Due to us changing phone and internet providers to TRIKON we have now had our phones disconnected during work hours. This is after they disconnected my email and took me 2 weeks to get it back which i had to do myself. If TRIKON come to your door dont do it they have caused no end of drama and when you call have no idea whats going on.

10.01.2022 Wanted to write up a post to help the older Subarus stop rusting. When cleaning your car please check all the small hard to get places. Detailing brushes are the best way to go about this. I know photos dont explain as much as seeing in person the muck was so think and inhabited the boot seal majorly. This meant removing the entire boot seal and using dish washing liquid in a pump bottle and a detailing brush. I scrubbed all the metal surfaces and soaked down until i could ...see the paint of the car again. There was early stage of rust due to this being wet with rain and washing the car the muck just ate away at the metal. So when washing your car dont think a long concentrated squirt with the hose is going to help this issue you will need some brushes and some soap. (Please dont use degreaser it is not necessary).

08.01.2022 Wanted to show everyone here what we had to do to get our GF8 running, With an engine Nick built which was meant for his Gen2 Legacy GT import. Being a Gen2 Legacy means that the car originally had a Version 4 IMPREZA WRX engine with a Twin Turbo set up, And the shell we were installing the engine to was a MY99 GF8 WRX. Which has completely different heads to the Version 4 WRX. So the engine itself to simplify is a EJ255T with, EJ205T V4 heads which makes the engine a "Frank...enstein" build. It does not have forged pistons. Anyway now that thats all explained now to explain the photos, The Version 1-4 Turbo EJ series have an in-line bolt pattern for where the manifold feet meet the heads. But V5-V6 was the first WRX with the middle 2 bolt holes offset to the outer 2, So what we decided to do was find a 1997 WRX intake manifold and a 1999 WRX intake manifold. And cut the feet off the 97 intake aswell as the 99 intake and make it all fit. This meant shortening the manifold height and width wise to make it fit with the top mount inter-cooler. And standard brackets This also meant loosing the coil pack that sits just behind the A/C compressor. Lucky this car (along with alot of our modified cars) has a Microtech piggy back ECU, So we used 01-15 EJ Coil Over Plug Coilpacks and a loom made in house which you can purchase here: https://suby.tech/products/coil-connector-lead-kits. The car works very well with these bits and pieces and when taken to Luddenham Raceway with a Cusco rear R160 LSD, We had the car spinning the rear wheels out of corners with the amount of punch that the 2.5L has in such a light shell. This car also has a 06 IMPREZA WRX 4.444 Gearbox with a conversion from pull to push clutch. This Post is an introduction from me a new Admin of this page that many of you know. There will be alot more to come with the amount of Research and Development over the last 30 years trading as NRG Auto. As we worked on this model WRX when they were brand new from the dealer. 02.01.2022 Triple plate clutch. This is a triple plate OS GIKEN for a Toyota Chaser we fitted up. Similar set up to the twin plate set ups with an extra plate. Not as noisy as the twin plate and has a good pedal feel to it. Very good to drive as well surprisingly smooth and easy to use.
