06.01.2022 Finally finishing this table runner. Handstitched the sashiko flowers plus the colourful borders a few years ago, the next two borders sewn on a few months ago....and today the backing, quilting and binding. Will sit down later to finish hand sewing the binding....relaxing slow time for recovery after surgery yesterday
06.01.2022 Just popping in to show you where I live. Port Lincoln in regional South Australia, a beautiful seaside town....a great part of the world. This is our foreshore beach, an 800m walk from home (and usually the route of my daily walk) As much as I enjoy travelling and sourcing fabrics overseas, I'm more than happy staying home atm. And working thru and creating with the stash of amazing fabrics I have found on my travels....and rejoicing in the memories they bring
03.01.2022 Number 12 of my latest '13 things' collection...Dinnertime tops. This one combines a QLD souvenir vintage tablecloth with a remnant of a bright designer floral linen and an upcycled lightweight cotton sarong. I know it's loud and colourful....but I like it!!
