24.01.2022 Another 10 pallet Milk delivery truck all ready for the Thermo King refrigeration to be installed, the side doors are positioned to accommodate special load requirements for ease of delivery. A Roller shutter rear door was fitted to eliminate the need to open the doors before reversing onto the docks. Alloy walk up ramp also stored under body at rear.

07.01.2022 Another speciality build by Summercool ready for delivery, this one is the first of three for Ergon Energy, this build require many hours of CAD design work done before the actual job could be started & incorporates special built slide out step assy, slide out work bench under hatch door, awning, generator box, 200lt water tank with pressure pump, 240v air conditioning units to both internal compartments and many other safety features.

02.01.2022 2005 Kenworth T401 Prime mover transformed into a 14 pallet Jumbo to transport produce directly from the farms to the markets, the customer organised the chassis extension himself but Summercool proudly manufactured the body to the customers specifications & mounted to the extended Kenworth chassis ready for the Thermo King refrigeration to be fitted

01.01.2022 Floor Dramas!....This is a typical fault we find with imported refrigerated bodies where the floor has not been sealed in the correct manner. The correct way to seal the floor is to apply a wet fiberglass coating to the floor and to the bottom of the side walls at the same time...in effect creating a "water tight tub" moisture is then unable to penetrate. This repair will be very expensive to rectify for the customer with his truck also off the road for a week.. I estimate the cost of this repair will outstrip any saving that was gained by purchasing a cheap body. Oils aint Oils they say!

01.01.2022 Repair - Nightmare ! Fridge on this old truck needed repair as it was loose in the front wall. On further inspection the trouble was with the timber fridge supports in the front wall which had rotted out....in fact had been eaten out by WHITE-ANTS. We ended up removing the front wall then the floor and then the side walls and then everything else as the little blighters had eaten everything including the insulation foam. In the end a totally new body was needed with Steel fridge supports this time!
