25.01.2022 So much love for these beauties......standing over 1.5 metres tall these extraordinary birds have a wingspan of upto 1.2 metres ......they almost give off their own light thanks to the brilliant diet of snails, crustaceans and crabs.....without which they would turn gray!!! Can you see my fave color palette!!!!!!

25.01.2022 In my search for a meaningful image to post on Australia Day I came across this breathtaking capture of Uluru. Internationnaly celebrated artist Bruce Munro has created the largest work of his career inviting immersion in a fantasy garden of 50,000 lights. Under the vast night sky, in the presence of the majestic and sacred rock, the rhythms of color light up the desert sky........ This massive sandstone rock in central Australia is sacred to the Aborigines of the area, who are known as the Anangu - a word that originally meant simply "human being". Believed to have been formed by the activities of ancestral beings in creation time or Dreamtime, the beatiful site includes many caves, waterholes and ancient rock paintings. Archaeoligical findings to the east and west indicate the beginning of human settlement in the Uluru region to be more than 10,000 years ago. 10,000 years!!!!!! I have always felt this image signifies the spiritual heart of Australia..... and today, as we celebrate this wonderful place we call home, we are witnessing the strengthening ties of unity, hearts united in service to fellow Australians whose lives have been devastated by fire. In time spirits will be refreshed, revived and we will again see regeneration and new life all around us......simply being human, showing kindness to all is a way to illuminate the path forward.......
