25.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: As of the 23rd of March, 2020 ALL TENNIS COACHING IS CURRENTLY ON! With advice from Tennis Australia, all tennis lessons at SCTA/RTSA are still running. ... Although to adhere with social distancing recommendations, changes will be made to how we coach. These changes include: - Loan rackets will be spayed with Disinfectant before each session - individual Ball tubes only will be used to collect the balls during coaching lessons this is to minimise contact with the balls directly. (each child will have there own Tube to use) - tubes will be cleaned between lessons - head coach has disinfectant & paper towel on court Our coaching may look a little different in the coming weeks, as our main focus is keeping kids active as well as keeping social distancing practises in place. As recommendations from the government are constantly changing, we will keep you all posted with further updates moving forward. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you on the court soon. 20.01.2022 As we are now 1/2 way through Week 2 of Term 2, we just wanted to say THANK YOU to all Parents & Kids alike for helping us to remain as compliant as possible wi...th the current WA Gov COVID Rules while on court with us! Please remember we need to continue to follow the rules to keep playing Tennis! - The Clubrooms are Closed - Please drop your Kids off at the Main gates & watch from outside the Court perimeters if you stay (avoid being on the patios) - Please collect your Kids promptly to avoid heavy traffic at end of session - Toilets are for unavoidable use only - Water Fountains are for unavoidable use only - Please provide your own rackets if possible - As you've seen, we are doing our best to maintain 1.5m distance between the Kids!

With advice from Tennis West coming through today & the WA Government relaxing some restrictions, SCTA/RTSA will be rolling out Term 2 programs at Tarcoola Park Tennis Club & Spalding Park Tennis Club from Monday 4th May!... Booking SMS & advertising will begin tomorrow! Although to adhere with social distancing recommendations, changes will be made to how we coach. These changes include: - Some smaller group sizes will be implemented - Loan rackets will be spayed with Disinfectant before & after each use (it is advised to bring your own racket) - Individual Ball tubes or Buckets will be used to collect the balls during coaching lessons this is to minimize contact with the balls directly. (each child will have there own tube or bucket to use) - Tubes & Buckets will be cleaned between lessons - Head coach has disinfectant & paper towel on court - Club water fountains remain closed to Children's use (Parents & Coaches may fill bottles for Children if required) - Club Toilet facilities remain closed unless unavoidable use is required Our coaching may look a little different in the coming weeks, as our main focus is keeping kids active as well as keeping social distancing practises in place. 10.01.2022 Last week the Movember Australia offices celebrated the incredible generosity of the WA tennis community when Tennis West reached a massive $2,500 raised for me...n's health Just a few days later, we've reached an even bigger milestone. The tennis community has surpassed a momentous $3,000, which will see WA's very own Jarron Kretschmann shave down his beard of over 7 years all in the name of helping males worldwide live happier, healthier, longer lives. Thank you to everyone who has supported Tennis West's Movember activities. We've moved over 2,700kms as a team, averaging over $1 donated for every kilometre moved. 09.01.2022 MOVEMBER is a great cause to support.... The team at Tennis West are growing Mo’s and Moving to raise money for Movember Australia. So far they’ve raised $1,795... and have MOVED 1,468km of the 3,500kms they aim to ‘Move’ in November. I’ve decided to do my bit in helping to raise some good coin for Movember and Men’s Mental Health and have pledged that: If the Tennis West team can raise $3000 - I’ll just keep my Mo, BUT, if the Tennis West Team raise $5000 or more then I’ll shave the lot!!! It’s been over 7 years since I was last clean shaven so it’s a big pretty big deal but 100% worth it for such a great cause... plus my amazingly tolerant & supportive Wife Maranda Kretschmann would probably appreciate it! 07.01.2022 SunCity Tennis Academy COVID-19 UPDATE: Good afternoon, As of the 25th of March, 2020 ALL TENNIS COACHING IS CURRENTLY ON!... Tennis Australia sought further clarity in relation to the PMs announcement last night and as such we have received advice that tennis operations can continue under the current guidelines provided by Tennis Australia Monday 23rd March 2020. With advice from Tennis Australia & Local Midwest Hospital Doctors, all tennis lessons at SCTA/RTSA are still running. Tennis Australia state there is NO known evidence that Tennis Balls can carry the Virus but we are taking extra precautions. Although to adhere with social distancing recommendations, changes will be made to how we coach. These changes include: - the Water fountain is for emergency refill only (disinfection before & after use) - all participants to wash hands upon arrival to Club practicing social distance measures in Bathrooms - no person (beside coaches) inside Club house unless to use toilet facilities or to get a racket - Loan rackets will be spayed with Disinfectant before & after each use - individual Ball tubes or buckets only will be used to collect the balls during coaching lessons this is to minimise contact with the balls directly. (each person will have there own Tube or bucket to use / buckets to be used with racket to push balls into bucket, not picking up) - tubes & buckets will be sprayed between lessons - head coach has disinfectant & paper towel on court Our coaching may look a little different in the coming weeks, as our main focus is keeping kids & adults active as well as keeping social distancing practises in place.
