23.01.2022 Training cancelled tonight 9th October due to storms.

23.01.2022 Just a quick reminder that this coming Friday evening (6.30pm set up) is this month's full course night training. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Cheers. Michael.

21.01.2022 hi everyone, I am bringing the hypro dry dog food that people ordered to training tonight. Please come and find me. There are about 4 bags not sold, so if you are interested in grain free premium dry food, these 20kg bags @ $60 are good value. Lyndal

20.01.2022 Training cancelled tonight 25th June due to the wet weather.

20.01.2022 Training sequences for next Tuesday the 21st of August. The challenges are distance challenges and/or layering advantage challenges. Sorry, Robyn, but I couldn't fit the 'whole' of Cathy's challenge in because we have limited space with our multiple sequences but I tried to include the 'gist' of it. The weaves sequences was part of a trial 'distance challenge' sequence. The challenges are predominantly the same for both Intermediate and Advanced. Cheers. Michael

19.01.2022 Oscar one of our beginner dogs having fun on the weekend.

19.01.2022 Training is cancelled tonight 16th October as there is too much water on the grounds to safely train. Classes will recommence where we left off so don't worry you wont be missing anything. See you when the sun comes out!

19.01.2022 Agility training is rarely a linear experience. You dont start at Point A and have a straight line ending at Z. As a matter of fact, It is a career-long timel...ine that constantly goes up and down. All we can do is focus on the fact we are still moving in the right direction...daily progress rather than perfection. I have been blessed with many dogs who were relatively easy for me to train; Encore, Feature, Swagger to name a few. Momentum was not one of those relatively-easy-to-train-dogs. Our training timeline was anything but straight...and I feel it is now just building in "momentum." Those who may be struggling with a dog of your own let me share that I believe our dogs feel that struggle as much as we do...remind yourself and remind your dog how much you love them...do it every day. When you love the dog those struggles trigger empathy. You turn the magnifying glass on yourself. How can you change, how you can be better in order to bring out the best in your dog. When that love isnt at the forefront of your brain those struggles can easily trigger frustration. You turn the focus on the dog and why he just cant "get it", why cant he be faster, turn tighter, jump cleaner. We all have challenges, its what those challenges trigger within us that makes the difference in the outcome. The challenges I had with Minty gave me TONS of insight to be able to help others, for that, I am seriously grateful...but that would never have happened had I not loved the dog the way I do. Okay...super long introduction to this video of Momentums last run at the 2018 Agility World Championships, the run where our teamwork on point. I cant wait to get home to start training for new year.

16.01.2022 Looking for dog friendly accommodation in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland? One of our life members has this accommodation available that includes a creek and a backyard with agility equipment.

16.01.2022 Training is cancelled tonight 30th October. Someone cut the cables to our light towers

14.01.2022 Training is cancelled tonight due to a storm. Hard decision as the AGM has to now be rescheduled for next week, but safer not to drive in this weather. Also not helpful for dogs fearful of thunder. Stay home and safe everyone.

13.01.2022 Please find the parking map for tomorrows SCFD competition. Note to help with physical distancing, there is to be no set up under the canteen/toilet block, the equipment shed or on the driveway next to the shed/tennis courts, so please bring your own shelter. If you are coming to volunteer and arent bringing a dog, we would appreciate if you parked outside the gates. Whilst normally we love having spectators, due to the large number of entries received, we ask that spectators do not attend tomorrow.
