24.01.2022 All of our club members should have received this note from our Club President via email, but I have included it here also. "I am writing to you to provide an update on the current suspension of the 2020 soccer season. The QCSA Executive have decided to extend the postponement of the season till the end of June 2020, an excerpt from their email reads as follows: "Due to the growing uncertainty of the current climate, we feel that any season commencing prior to this would b...e irresponsible of us. If there is any direction from Government that a season is able to commence earlier, then we will review and revise this time frame accordingly." "I have spoken to the Chair of QCSA, Richard Sydney, and he stated that the QCSA remain committed to having a 2020 season in reduced format, as any season is better than none. "At this stage we remain hopeful that we will have some form of season and look forward to filling the wonderful new grandstands that have been installed at Lister Street during the shutdown period, please have a look on our Facebook page for pictures. "Your Committee will shortly start planning for a reduced season, looking at realistic options and costs. They will look at full season vs reduced season fees, including the possibility of any refund that may become applicable. Please do not contact us about refunds, we will provide information on options once we have a clearer idea of what a reduced season may be. "We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops, taking advice from Queensland Health and direction from the QCSA. We will keep you informed as soon as any changes are made affecting the continuation of the season."

23.01.2022 In these times of lockdown, and before the kids even get to go back to their laptops for remote learning, it's a good time to practice solo drills and work on their fitness for when we can get back on the field. To help with this, the QCSA Director of Coaching, Brisbane Roar programs Coach and friend of the Saints, Neale Smith, has put together some videos to help players of all ages practice their skills. The videos can be found at Neale's Youtube channel https://www.youtube....com/cha/UCEsaiNQLMntfAdWbwQlEo2A/videos , so check them out and get training! The FFA (Football Federation of Australia) also has a #PlayAtHomeChallenge that is worth checking out for some great at home soccer challenges. https://www.playfootball.com.au/play-at-home-challenge Get training!

13.01.2022 The great news to come from the latest changes is that training is back on! With training thankfully being able to resume from Monday, strict restrictions will be enforced to ensure compliance with the newly released Covid Safe regulations. This will involve the creation of separate zones on the training field, limits on numbers in each zone, and limits to the types of training allowed.... All managers and coaches are aware of the requirements, and will ensure that everyone is treated to a great training session while also remaining safe and compliant. During this return to a very different form of training, we ask that you please follow all instructions and observe group limits, zones and any directions you are given. Despite these changes to our normal training sessions, I think we can all agree that it is just great to be back training, whatever the changes! We look forward to seeing you at training. Stay safe, and train hard!

08.01.2022 Our governing body, the QCSA has tonight advised our club President that it is following the FFA in suspending the season through to 14 April 2020. See their message below. Should anything change during that period we will notify our members.

06.01.2022 Final days to sign-on for the 2021 season are approaching fast! Come on down to the clubhouse on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th this month to register in person before registrations close. Don't wait, secure your spot now!

02.01.2022 Support our Sponsors: Our sponsors for 2020 season have all kindly supplied their weekly awards to the club and are excited to be part of our Sunnybank Saints Soccer Club Community. However in the last couple of weeks, some of them are experiencing a decline in business due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.... We are asking our club members to simply support anyone of our sponsors by visiting, buying or recommending them through this time in need. We understand that everyone may not be able to support them and we are mindful of our club members own situations, but any support would be great. Let's make sure we support each other along the way.
