21.01.2022 Happy chart day Happy Man! First charting in the top 40 debuting at no. 26 on this day back in 1981. Says our man Jeremy... "This song was written at Watkins Street, Newtown, the second place I lived in Sydney as another exercise in pop... It wasn't written about anybody in particular. This song was chosen as the first single to be released off the album and really showcased Bil's drumming style. The film clip was made with a budget of $3,000 in a studio in Rozelle which later became Sydney College of Arts and was directed by Tony Stevens. It was the first Sunnyboys clip to be made." 05.01.2022 Sunnyboys 40....years ago tonight. Lots of rumour. A big buzz about this band that was debuting supporting Lipstick Killers. Born out of Shy Impostors and Playboy Lords. Some link to Radio Birdman. And everyone loves a Sunnyboy. Great set featuring a number of songs that now have legendary status. Including some reprised on Sunnyboys 40. Regrettably at SBFC HQ it was Sundial’s sisters 21st and we missed it. Were you there? Tell us about it.
