13.01.2022 Past President Roz Mahy (middle) with new Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recipients, Lyn Doak (left) and Kerry Foxon (right) . What is a PHF? Rotary was founded by Paul Harris and associates in 1905. In his honour, PHF's have been created. Every PHF awarded contributes US$1000 to Rotary International to improve the well being of people worldwide. In our club, a PHF is awarded to members that we recognise as having done an outstanding job for our local and International co...mmunity. Congratulations Lyn & Kerry for your outstanding contributions over many years. See more

09.01.2022 The new very friendly, warm District Governor Adele Hughes - presenting at recent Rotary dinner in Mackay which Sunrise club members attended. Adele's personal theme this year is Make M&M's in 2020/21. Great theme, it stands for two things, Make Meetings Meaningful and ... Make Membership Memorable In 2010 our own Sunrise club also had an M & M theme, courtesy of our then President Janice Nelson - below is the pix. Our M&M theme was short for Membership Matters - Membership does indeed matter and Rotary is fun to be a part of. Contact us if you want to contribute your talents to a vibrant, friendly Rotary Club like ours. Included in the 2010 pix are Joy Cowan, Leon Cuzzilla, (the late) Marlene McGuire, Pauline Townsend and Janice Nelson.
