20.01.2022 The Grade 2 classes had the privilege of having Mrs Van Breda and Mr Winston read to both Grade 2 classes. We love the Story Dogs programs and very blessed that our school can be apart of it.

20.01.2022 At Sunrise ELC we have the amazing benefit of being situated amongst the School and all that entails. The children are able to build connections with their Budd...ies each week in the Grade 5 and Reception classes. Engaging with teachers and peers in the School provides a sense of security and belonging to the School even before they enter Reception. See more

12.01.2022 This week, our Middle School students had the privilege of a visit from Peter Wright, Fair Dinkum Leadership. Peter and his wife Desleigh have been involved in mission and community development in Zambia for 15 years, and they also studied Theology in the USA. Together they have established Fair Dinkum LIFE Ltd, a Christian not-for-profit ministry helping people think through the big questions of life and see the relevance of Jesus Christ to life, leadership, education and development. Their aim is to help people understand, share, and live out a fair dinkum faith. A lot of fun was had by our students, and they were presented with some great ways of thinking.

09.01.2022 A very important part of our curriculum at Sunrise is The Stewardship Program. This is an experience for the Grade 7 students to actively engage in learning and teaching a biblical framework for the responsibilities of how wealth is generated and used. It is a hands-on practical program of using resources and talents that should be both an enjoyable, maturing and learning experience. Each student in the class is given a $20 loan from the school and is encouraged to ‘make it g...row’ over the span of three market days (or selling days). Accurate financial records must be maintained and submitted for auditing, and a written report must be completed by the end of the program. Stewardship touches on many important principles: moral decision making, using resources and talents wisely, accomplishing goals, fiscal responsibility, creating, accounting, negotiating, presenting, marketing, customer service, time management, opportunity to practice economics, stress management and the responsible serving of sugar.
