21.01.2022 Help make tomorrow special for our wonderful Educator's. Pop a note of appreciation into their envelope or send me a message or email for me to pass on. This year has been a massive year for the educators who have shown their dedication to the children during COVID 19, and continue this on a daily basis.

20.01.2022 Sunrise Kids Mini Library Do you need more variety in the books you have to read to your child? In the foyer we have set up a mini library from which you can borrow a book to take home. Help your child choose a book they'd like to hear, fill in the Library register and return the book when you are finished with it to swap for a new one. Reading aloud is much more than just telling your child a story and if you can spare just 10 minutes per day you can make a significant diff...erence to their development. AEDC (Australian Early Development Census) data for Ipswich shows that we have more developmentally vulnerable children than the national average in language and communication. You learn to talk a long time before you learn to read, sharing stories and giving your child time to respond is a wonderful way to help your child's language development. See more

07.01.2022 Magnificent castles, charming princes, dainty princesses, little elves, wicked witches that’s the fairy world for you! 07.01.2022 This week is science week. The children have been exploring lots of different STEM activities. Yesterday it was an egg in a bottle, today was magic milk, watching and hypothesising about the reaction of the detergent with the milk. Isn't science wonderful!

06.01.2022 Trust Frees Children to Grow, Explore and Learn In an 'individualistic' culture like ours we can be influenced by the unspoken pressure to have children "become... independent". It can manifest in different ways but here are two more common ones: helping them do things they aren't physically ready for yet - e.g. propping them to sit, holding their hands to walk ... placing them into unfamiliar situations that they aren't emotionally ready for yet, without the support of a Known-Trusted Adult, - e.g. into childcare without a settling period which gives time for the child to BUILD trust with another, the Trusted Adult who will be their emotional anchor when the child learns to manage away from family... #dontforceindependence #letindependenceunfold #whatsthehurry #letthechildrendoitintheirowntime #childrendevelopintheirowntime #childrendevelopinthecontextofrelationships #lrknost #parentingforconnection #parentingforsocialchange

06.01.2022 Spoiling the team today. They deserve it. Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts today.

03.01.2022 Worms fascinate children...just ask the Kindergarten Children! They have been caring for our worms by giving them scraps and keeping them moist. A worm farm is an easy way to recycle food scraps in a childcare environment. A worm farm has many environmental benefits, including recycling food scraps, minimising food waste that goes to landfill and creating natural garden fertiliser. Keep an eye out for some worm fertiliser soon.

03.01.2022 Please follow the Covid-19 guidelines for the centre to keep everyone safe.

01.01.2022 We are currently running a ‘Refer a Friend’ promotion. Refer someone to our centre and get them to tell us who sent them to get yourself a $100 gift voucher. *T&C’s apply.

01.01.2022 "Loose parts give children the freedom to arrange and rearrange, essentially using the parts to create their own rules and designs, which allows the focus of the experience to be on the process rather than the product. Fine motor skills are developed and strengthened when children grasp and pick up small objects." MTA blog

01.01.2022 Look how much care the Toddlers are giving our gardens. Gardening offers so many fun and interesting opportunities for children, and teaches them invaluable lessons. They can learn about the different species of plants and what those plants need to help them grow.

01.01.2022 Want an extra day for your child? Ring Sandy or Dee to confirm your day
