18.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all our Dad's out there! We hope you've been enjoying a wonderful day with your families. * The new 2020-2021 Season has got off to a good start with relaxed NPS (Non Point Score) racing in light winds to practice for the season. Remember we are working strictly to the SCYC Covid-19 Safety Plan V4 - see: https://scyc.net.au/covid19safety. It is essential that everybody complies - in the clubroom and on the boats * The new 2020-2021 Notice of Race (NOR) and Sailing Instructions (SIs) are on the website - they have changed. Understanding these documents is part of racing, so please read them at : https://scyc.net.au/scyc-racing-docs.

17.01.2022 Great news for our members and friends. SCYC is pleased to advise that we will be offering shorthanded (2 people) racing commencing this Wednesday 29 April 2020. We currently plan to offer both Wednesday and Sunday racing. We have worked with QLD Health, QLD Water Police and Maritime Safety and have been advised that we can go ahead with this proposal provided strict social distancing is adhered to. Please see our latest club newsletter for details and contact your skipper or the club for more information.

Take the opportunity to check out the club room renovations at the same time. Many thanks to all the volunteers who chipped in and helped out!

06.01.2022 Our Commodore, Harry Blom, shared some photos of Wednesday's race commenting on the fantastic sailing conditions with 5 to 10 knots of breeze. Five boats participated in the short handed race format, allowing for two crew members on board to adhere to social distancing. All boats finished within 15 minutes of each other and 3 within 3 minutes, First place went to 4Play; second place to New Tricks and third place to Mint.

05.01.2022 Our committee is working hard behind the scenes and plans are coming together nicely with some great sponsors coming onboard to support the event. If you thought last year was fun, make sure to get your crews together and be part of the action this year!
