24.01.2022 You’ll find me where the wild things are
23.01.2022 I was going to hang these special pieces in the barn room but they screamed at me they wanted to be in the lounge room across from the fire place. I love how that happens, how ideas evolve when you just listen and trust Thank you Timberwolfandco and Gather Store

20.01.2022 Well it has sure been a while since I posted anything on my Surf meets Southwest page. I have missed being here. Missed our beautiful customers. Missed our store with its big beautiful barn doors. Those doors have now found a new home as my bed head in a room I have transformed with more reclaimed wood from the shop, with corrugated iron and fairy lights. This room, my room, is affectionately known as the Barn Room. Life has changed a lot since the store has closed. I am so ...much wiser, so much further along my path. I know that sounds clichéd but it’s the best way I know how to explain it. The steps I was afraid of taking, but knew in my gut I needed to take have been painful and beautiful. For all at the moment who feel overpowered you did not make the decision to close your business, you had no say. I simply ask you to try and let go for a moment of the unfairness and look for the opportunity, for a new way forward for you. Take this time to feel, to ask yourself what would you like to change, if anything. You are in control of your future. Make sure you are doing what you love to do and the rest will fall into place. Talk again soon. Teena x See more

19.01.2022 It’s that time of year again when I sit, light a candle, listen to Kitty Wells, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline and talk to my mum. The woman who taught me to snort when I laugh, that everyone has a story, she taught me patience. She made me feel like I had wings everyday and I believed it every time she smiled at me... She taught me, showed me, that being a mother is life's greatest gift. How I miss you like it was yesterday. I'll see you on the other side beautiful.
19.01.2022 A country kitchen created with love in my heart and stars in my eyes
18.01.2022 Our Montville cottage’s new addition... my obsession with wagon wheels continues thanks to Takeubak... makes me think and feel about the American frontier pioneers, families travelling to who knows where in their wagons for endless hours who must have endured so much hardship for the promise of a better land I just hope some of them found what they were searching for...
18.01.2022 Thank you with my whole heart to Our Rustic Roots for this custom made sign. Can’t wait to hang it in our cottage... this one is for you mum
18.01.2022 Missing our bricks and mortar store in Noosa which I was privileged enough to run for 7 years. It’s been nearly a year since we closed up our doors and went online. Can’t wait to get back to restocking our online store with some special treasures. Thank you all for your patience. I often get messages from our beautiful customers asking what I’m up to. Thank you all for not forgetting the Surf meets Southwest experience and reminding me of my passion and purpose. I love my brand, what it created and mostly the special people it brought into my life. Stay tuned for next years revival!!! Teena xx

12.01.2022 A few days ago this was just a carport held up by a couple of beautiful old telegraph poles... with some hard work and lots of love and @themilkcartonkids on repeat, the name of my original family’s farm, thanks to @timberwolfandco has now found its forever home in Montville

11.01.2022 Bathroom renovating... it’s ok to not have a mirror yet when you can already see who you are
11.01.2022 I’m on the road!!! Left Montville last night, drove to Armidale, then today the back roads through to Bathurst! So moved by the beautiful scenery and the obvious hardships of making a living in this part of Australia. Old buildings that once stood as a sign of faith in the land now stand forgotten in this often harsh environment and economical times. My deepest respect for the farmers who spend their days finding feed for their animals and wood to keep their families warm on these cold winter nights. Teena xx
10.01.2022 I will make everything around me beautiful. That will be my life
10.01.2022 My designing starts by laying pieces on the floor, walking away and knowing that when I walk back in the room I’ll know if it’s right. This is right! These special pieces are headed up to our Montville cottage, to the barn room where they will find their forever home on a black wall, above our barn doors. I’m so moved and grateful to finally secure a work from Timberwolfandco thank you to the beautiful Jen from Gather Store for shipping me this one of a kind work of art. Can’t wait to share the finished product with you. Teena x
10.01.2022 My first ever painting... many years ago now... I had no idea of what I was doing I just know it felt good I look forward to many more to come Teena xx
10.01.2022 So grateful for our new Montville Beam Creek Cottage sign made with heart by @timberwolfandco Beam Creek is the name of my childhood farm, the place that made me who I am today... that taught me the meaning of hard work, where I had little and wanted for nothing, where I first felt the deep stirrings of peace that nature brings me Teena

03.01.2022 Today my heart aches... it aches for the life of a racehorse, for the horses that are brought into this world just for their potential and then cast aside when they don’t make good enough track times... over 10000 race horses who have been discarded this year alone will end up at the slaughterhouse. It’s time to stop using these amazing creatures as an excuse for our society to dress up drink champagne and gamble!
03.01.2022 I love turning secret corners into special spaces that make you want to visit Fill your space with simple things that tell your story and it will forever make you smile... Teena x

01.01.2022 Frank was days away from being put down by the Caboolture council due to a land size issue. He is a big beautiful boy who loves to have his tummy scratched with his favourite rake. I am looking for help from local farmers, shop keepers etc in the Montville area. Frank loves pumpkins, bread, pasta, watermelons, cake.. anything really apart from citrus. If you can help I can pick up out of date stock from shops in the local area. Thank you
