25.01.2022 How awesome to come home from a hectic weekend on Puddle Jumpers Incorporated camp and to wake up to these beauties this morning. Tired, sore, fatigued after 3 consecutive 15+ hour days, but feel like a million bucks after a few minutes back in my beloved garden.

23.01.2022 Home grown, self seeded tomatoes, they are popping up everywhere

23.01.2022 So somehow I found the muscles to move this bird bath out from the garden into the sun, now what to plant in it? Im thinking of Lithops but think it might be too wet for them with the rain, any ideas?

23.01.2022 So I have the young man with a disability 'helping me' today, he's reduced all his prices after 'sleeping on it' he decided his prices were a bit steep. Then I have the gorgeous Miss Neve here clopping around in a pair of high heels, dressed very fashionable in layers of everything she has reclaimed (Friday night, Saturday morning and again today'. Sighed when she saw her stuff again up for sale and demanded to know what's going on her, I'm done with it! Met some gorgeous fellow gardeners and had lots of chats, a great day to spend in this gorgeous sunshine.

22.01.2022 How beautiful is this first bloom from one of the many Liliums that were all self sown, I cant wait to see what other colours Ill be blessed with.

22.01.2022 Some of the most beautiful wildflowers weve ever seen at the spectacular Kings Park in Perth September 2016

19.01.2022 Is it true or false that Agaves die after they flower?

18.01.2022 160kgs of stones, 6 hrs of blood, sweat and and worth every aching bone. I ran out of stones at the very last bit. Patience is a virtue. If you enlarge the pictures you will see lots of tiny little plants all set to flourish. Some people change their furniture around, me, I like to change my garden around, very therapeutic (and I really get to lose myself in my own version of mindfulness).

17.01.2022 I don't think they I'll ever make salesperson of the year but I did make a very special friend today. I've ended up with heaps of his gear 'for me to sell' on his behalf. His prices are a bit random so if anyone is interested we can negotiate tomorrow on prices. He's already purchased on a buy now pay later system with me a few little things he wanted to buy from me. Gotta love little old Adelaide.

16.01.2022 Wish we took some before and after photos of my brother Tonys beautiful front and back gardens in Perth. He was quoted $350 to prune and tidy up the yards. Fortunately for Tones one of the Surprise Succulent contractors, Pauline was in Perth for a holiday and generously gifted Tony the makeover. Considering Pauline is recovering from hand surgery (one of her dogs nearly bit her finger off and she was in hospital for 9 days) she did us all proud. Who knows Surprise Succulents might just get treated to another trip back to Perth next year. We hope so we are having a ball and getting to see a tiny bit of this beautiful city. If you live in Werribee in Victoria or nearby suburbs you might be able to negotiate a fair price with Pauline from our Melbourne site to transform your garden too.

16.01.2022 The first of my gorgeous lilliums to flower, cant wait to to see what the other colours are

15.01.2022 My Mexican Garden is going crazy, it must love the rain, what a difference a few months makes!

13.01.2022 Very cute little pink Calla Lily that appeared out of nowhere yesterday, cant wait to see what other treasures await me

13.01.2022 WEED TEA Now Ive got your attention! I just learned an amazing way to brew Weed throw your weeds into a bucket or old bin, cover with water and put a brick in the bucket/bin so the weeds stay submerged for 3 months. Cover with a lid or cardboard if the foul smell doesnt agree with you. At the end of 3 months, put whats left of the weeds into your compost bin or green bin and then dilute the remaining weed tea with water 50%/50% or more and use as incredibly good free liquid fertiliser. I cant wait to c how my first batch works out. It can attract flies but just give the bucket/bin a squirt of fly spray and youll be fine.

11.01.2022 Garage Sale Plants, bits and bobs, homewares, children and adult clothing and shoes - different sizes, handbags, children and grown ups books, large ready to be dismantled aviary with some accessories. 11.01.2022 Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me, the first picture is of one I discovered earlier on today, a tiny sedum maturing all on its own and in a totally unrelated planter amongst some cacti. The second picture is of a much larger plant also maturing and about ready to shed its babies. How blessed are we to have such gorgeous weather in SA and how blessed am I to be able to play in my garden as much as I do.

11.01.2022 The newest member of the Surprise Succulent team in SA looks like he has already got a green thumb, however our newly planted mint has seen better days

06.01.2022 What a beautiful end to a glorious day, fancy finding these gorgeous Wild Irises blooming in my special friends garden. Im told they are the opposite colour of the regular variety of Iris. The petals close at night and open again when its sunny. The flowers are extremely delicate and if you look at the different pictures you can see some of the intricate stages of the Wild Iris as it begins its transformation from full bloom to starting to close. How amazingly awesome is nature. A great day to be alive with beauty everywhere

05.01.2022 How apt, these spectacular orchids in full bloom originated from my our own mother Clarice Josephines garden. They have been tended through the years since mum died 17th October 2007 by her son, Adrian, daughter in law, Kay and daughter Pauline, gone but not forgotten Mum

05.01.2022 My first fuchsia buds have opened, what a great day to be alive

05.01.2022 How creative is my younger brother Tony? I was going to get him to pull this dead tree out for me and instead hes painting it and making it into a feature. Not sure if Ill hang pots or later gets from it but I will have fun planning it either way

05.01.2022 All plants $1.00 each from small to large. By appointment only but generally pretty flexible with time. (Sale due to owner/grower going away and would hate to see anything die)

03.01.2022 Results of the last few weeks work (in short spurts). Lots of gorgeous old and new succulents and a real sense of accomplishment!

01.01.2022 I cant for the life of me remember what seeds I planted last Sunday in these 3 out of 5 pots, I think one was Poppies, one Californian Poppies, maybe Daisies, maybe Hyacinth but woo hoo 3 out of the 5 lots has sprouted ever so tiny seedlings. I cant wait to see if they flourish, flower and inject some beautiful pots of color into my already green garden. Sooo excited
